Sounds like he watches too much porn.
There are undeniable health risks associated with grinding fecal bacteria into the mucus membranes of the vagina and cervix, up to and including pelvic inflammatory disease. That can be fatal, or require radical hysterectomy. I would say that makes ass-to-vagina sex a good candidate for an unpushable hard limit. If he insists, I would recommend you find someone who is not so selfish
UTIs are sort of another matter. If you are prone to them, you don't need any additional risk added from fecal bacteria. The ones that live on the skin or within the vagina normally are quite bad enough.
One factor with susceptibility can be the proximity of the urethral opening to the vaginal opening This distance can vary from an inch or so, down to nothing, i.e. the urethra is located right at or even within the opening of the vagina. The closer it is, the more tendency to get UTIs from just having vaginal sex.
I had one sub with this issue; it was mandatory for her to pee immediately after sex, to wash the urethra, or she would get a UTI. Waiting even 10 minutes was generally enough to do it. She would have symptoms next day. Once we figured out the cause and I began enforcing the "go pee now" rule, she had no further problems. Also had to pay attention to mixing vaginal sex with extensive bondage - if they were combined, the bondage had to come off as soon as the sex was done.
Drinking lots of cranberry juice, after but especially before playing, also helped her.
