alwaysuna -> Everyone is different, but is this a submissive trait? (2/28/2008 6:41:36 PM)

When I start to become aroused, even at the first thought of something that I might enjoy, I get very quiet.  I have a hard time expressing myself and a strong desire to listen.  I feel completely overwhelmed when asked what I am thinking, because I am thinking I want to hear MORE. See MORE....and it's as if there is nothing at all in my mind to give, it is blank!  Just waiting to receive stimuli.

Is that a submissive trait, or am I just peculiar?

Also interested in hearing how other people feel when becoming aroused... ( I once knew a guy who sneezed!)

It's not a trait that THIS submissive individual has.  I wouldn't call you "peculiar" but neither would I say it's a "submissive" trait.  Whatever traits submissive's have are all submissive traits, no?[;)]...............luci

Personally, I think it's an appropriate trait for a sub/slave, to become quiet and to concentrate on the Master/Mistress.  I have no problem speaking or contributing to the conversation (if I'm asked) but I, too, am quiet and respectful, and, yes, submissive around my Dominant.

I have a typical male response when aroused...

As much as screaming during an orgasm is a submissive trait.

During one's own orgasm, or the Dominant's???  if one does both does that make one a switch?

To the OP:
I don't go blank but I do have problems speaking if I am very aroused, I tend to think in emotions, pictures, abstracts. My ability to articulate those into cohesive words flies out the window after a certain point.

You mean leave my igloo and traverse the world of snow and ice? Heavens forbid! I'd have to dig out my dog sled and pack myself in polarbear furs...

/end derailment of thread.

It's a personality trait, but nothing connected to submissive, or being a submissive in a Ds relationship.

SubbieOnWheels -> RE: Everyone is different, but is this a submissive trait? (2/28/2008 10:31:58 PM)

I don't experience those traits, but I have one that may be unique. My amputated leg begins to bounce up and down. This also happens when I get excited about something. At that point I say,"Oh, my stump is jumpin'!"

If I'm in a scene, my legs just separate of their own accord.

>>edited to add that was probably too much information<<

I once had a sub that did exactly the same thing.  She would get totally quiet and sometimes turn red....When she stopped talking, I knew I had her under my complete control...

Sunnyfey -> RE: Everyone is different, but is this a submissive trait? (2/29/2008 1:12:06 AM)

I tend to turn a little red and stare at my cig/drink/pencil/straw/anything with in reach of my hand that I can fiddle with, shake my foot back and forth and chew on my lip, and generally my speech pattern goes down to "mmmmhmm, yep, i agree," And especially if Im at a scene party, (i tend to be my dom friends "acting sub" when Im at a scene party and dont know anyone else) I sit at my acting Doms feet and generally lean my head agenst said doms knee and just watch, everything and say nothing.

You are not a twue sub until you learn the secret handshake.[sm=applause.gif]

MissMagnolia -> RE: Everyone is different, but is this a submissive trait? (2/29/2008 1:54:37 AM)

I'm opting for just peculiar too.[:D]

eyesopened -> RE: Everyone is different, but is this a submissive trait? (2/29/2008 2:11:30 AM)

i'm much the same, i have a difficult time speaking while aroused, i tend to absorb the sensations and if i am required to talk, talking requires actual effort.  i can walk and chew gum at the same time so i don't know why i can't be aroused and hold a conversation at the same time.  However, i would never consider that a submissive trait, just the way my brain functions.

StormsSlave -> RE: Everyone is different, but is this a submissive trait? (2/29/2008 2:49:11 AM)

Oh, I make a ton of noise, but none of it intelligible.  Once I'm past a certain point, I can't even think straight, let alone string two words together and make a sentence.  Of course, this is the moment My Lord wants me to answer a question...lol.

Not a sub trait...I think I'm in the "just weird." group...lol

Bound2One -> RE: Everyone is different, but is this a submissive trait? (2/29/2008 5:05:04 AM)

I can talk when aroused, but my voice usually gets very low, to the point where if we're speaking on the phone, Master has to tell me that he can't hear me.  lol   Probably just a quirk of mine, not a sub trait.
