At one time I used to think the new button was useful, but now think it is a P.I.T.A. Why, because nobody seems to view profiles anymore. I am either boring or people have wised up to the fact that if they give in to their curiousity and view something that interests them, they will be seen to be doing so. Maybe they think the viewed person might take it as a 'come on' and there send mails that are not wanted, so viewing someone might not be worth the perceived hassle.

Anyone any negative views of new features they once thought good ?

I just laugh when HoneyMaster gets all full of Domly jealousy because so many more people are looking at me.

I very recently discovered this feature and in the last couple of days (only b/c someone via email said they'd viewed my profile and I'd notice them on there lol) have seen what it's all about... I think it's quite nice, I'm going to start perving people now... I'll start with YOU

Seriously though, it doesn't bother me, I love looking at profiles and seeing what people have to say on theirs.

Meh, the button does annoy me too. Mostly, because when people do look at my profile, the button's lit up as red. And I'm pretty OCD. I have to click the red button, because if I don't, it'll still be red. And that would drive me freaking nuts.

So, now, my profile is as disinteresting as it can be. I deleted most of my journal entries that had more than a small paragraph to them, never had pics, filled out a false age in a rural state, etc. Plus most people on the board already know me, so I'm free from perves! Well, at least a lot more than I used to be.

Still, if you want more perves, you can always promise, on the first line and in a large, bold font, to send penis pictures to anyone who wants! :P

I don't care if people look at me, that's what my profile is there for. Though I musssst make the frelling button STOP being red! I am astounded at how many people from the other side of the world perv me---and not folks from the forums, who I might expect. What ARE the search parameters for a person living in Iceland, that they would look at me?

I also have the obsessive compulsive urge to click that button to make the red go away. :) But I don't really have any negative views about the "Who is Viewing Me?" feature.

One thing I really disliked was when they changed the search list to a photo list or photo grid. I was really glad when I found the option to change it back to the text list. With the photo grid, especially, I couldn't see any of the information about the people on the list, which was important to me. Plus my dad has the tendency to glance over my shoulder at the computer screen, so if he'd caught sight of any provocative photos, that could've been awkward (though not as awkward as the question of why I'm on a site called "CollarMe" to begin with, heheh).

My "Who's Viewing Me?" button doesn't turn red. It's jut that "followed link" color all the time. I think it's because of my adaptive software. So I have to click on it every time I'm on that side. Just in case. That's my OCD.

i'm always happy to see the red~

i can't really figure out why it's "perving" to look at other people on a "community" site, especially one like this~
i don't see why people fill out a profile only to get pissed when someone reads it~
i wrote my profile so people that wanted to could read it~
i uploaded pictures so people that read can get an idea of who is saying them, and to not hide as a faceless name~
i don't want to be the "real perv" who anonymously looks in secret while hiding~

even multiple views seem pretty whoopdie do to me, i read profiles and look at pictures constantly, just to see all sorts of different fascinating people, the more interesting you are, the more prone i am to give it a second or third or even frequent looks. if i find someone truly interesting, then i might click on a friend or two of theirs who look interesting as well. if we're friends, i'll probably look at your profile and journal quite often.

i look at my little red button as "who found me interesting enough to even look", and when i've got messages to boot i look at it like "who found a closer look at me to still retain their interest enough, that they wanted to know more".

i look at people because of pictures, names, headline text, posts in the forums, even a simple avatar might get me to look closer, and it might take seeing and reading a few times before i do it, but i've never felt pervy or out of place for doing it or worried that they'll *gasp* know it was me.

if someone was wishing to skulk about, when you view profiles from the search window, it will not alert that person to you having viewed them. but if you click one of their pictures or a button like "view full profile" and leave the search window, you'll be giving them red buttons~

I'm not sure if you realize it or not, but people can read your profile without it showing up on your who's viewing me page. If they read your profile from a search or from where it just pops up on their "start screen" it doesn't show in who's viewing me. It only shows up if they view your full profile. I know Mistress often views profiles without bothering to click into the full profile. She only "goes in" if the person in question has a photo she'd like to see in a larger size. (Usually someone's cute pet in the photo with them!) Just because nothing is showing doesn't mean that no one is looking!
