Chloelicious -> What the heck with virginity? (2/29/2008 8:26:26 AM)

Yesterday i was following an French information show.
This show is made of 4 story who got nothing to do with the others.
One of the subject was about young girls who were seeing a plastic surgeon,in purpose of having a new virginity.
Most of these women were French born in middle eastern family but not only.

In this  subject a doctor was telling that he had been threaten by a father and one of his friends,
because he would not make a 'compliance certificate'
to prove that the 11 years prepubere girl were virgin.
Those poor dumb asses was pretending that because the child had bad results at school, it was because she had lost her virginity.

Apparently it is possible to "reconstruct" the hymen, as you had never had sex.

So misters:

would you mind if a submissive or your loved one would proceed this surgery?
Would you be flaterred or would you be upset?

Ladies:

Would you going through surgery to be a virgin again?
Do you see any case that would be meaningfull enough to get you a new hymen?

Im not a big fan of body modification.  As was pointed out in the movie Bicentennial Man, it is our imperfections that make us human.

The idea of a girl being clean and unspoiled is often a nice one; I would perfer a virgin girl.  But the physical or outward appearance of it means nothing to me if it's fake.  Hell, the fact that she had someone performing an operation on her pussy would make her less of a virgin in ways.

So, while I'd perfer a girl who has gone all of these years waiting (which doesn't seem to be that common anymore.. most girls by 20 have had sex), the idea of an operation to make it appear that way has less than zero appeal; I'd perfer if someone didn't get it.

PS-  While I'm not entirely sure where my views on virginity come from, I'm guessing my strongly Catholic upbringing has something to do with it.  When I've spoken about them in the past here, some have mistaken it for, "Oh, so I'm not attractive because I'm not a virgin."  I'd like to point out two things:
A-  Virgins are more attractive.  It's not that others aren't attractive.
B-   And that's for me.  It's just a personal perference, like some guys like red hair and others like brown.  Some don't even care.

(Added in because I'm tired of getting messages from people about why I don't like them.  Grumble.)

ooooooooookkkkkkk..........(just so you know mentioning minors on here is against the terms of standard.) it doesn't erase the fact that she is no longer intact, and I think the idea is incredibly stupid.

I personally would not do this,(it took me too long to get rid of the original!) and have no interest in a partner who would want to do it. If I had a male partner who wanted me to get it done, I would break with him, if he kept pushing the issue.

Noooooo. Absolutely not.

A hymen can break from a lot of activities other than losing one's virginity. I don't know when it happened to me, but I know it wasn't from having sex. It really had no meaning for me to begin with, so undergoing surgery to replace it serves no purpose for me. I have other, more important things to spend my money on, thanks.

Gives a whole new meaning to " Born again Virginity" ...... How sad for the young ladies involved...also brings to mind the " technical virgins of the 50's and 60's who had experienced everything except vaginal penetration so were proud to wear white on their wedding day and proclaimed themselves Virgins..... <sigh>

Chloelicious -> RE: What the heck with virginity? (2/29/2008 8:42:31 AM)

I understand your point of view.

In opposition in the same story, the reporter talked about a movement where young people were  signing a formular to claim that they will wait until mariage to loose their virginity.

I think it is  utopic, in 2008 to wait until mariage to have sex, even if i think it is cute and  that you have to have "balls" to do so.

faerytattoodgirl -> RE: What the heck with virginity? (2/29/2008 8:47:12 AM)

i wuvs being a virgin...because im going to star in the 40 yr old virgin 2.

MissHarlet -> RE: What the heck with virginity? (2/29/2008 8:52:38 AM)

I think it is no ones business if anyone is a virgin or not .. and no one should have to lie about it .. that was my point ... it was more important to me that my kids didnt have a bad first experience and they didnt feel pressured to have sex ... yes I wished they had waited or that one had .. and the other I thought was never going to have sex lol .. the whole point it is it should be an individial choice and hopefully is positive experiences....not coerced ... what value should a tiny scrap of skin have anyway .. and btw .. my kids are boys .. and I think that them losing their virginity was just as important as a girl losing theirs ...

A lie is a lie whether it is verbal or surgical.

Well, if I were still a virgin at 57, I would be very worried! And if some guy thought I should be a virgin, I would kindly tell him to have his head examined.

And, no, I would not have surgery, with all the risks that involves, for such a trivial thing.

HaveRopeWillBind -> RE: What the heck with virginity? (2/29/2008 9:39:04 AM)

I have heard that in order to do this operation the surgeon will remove one eardrum and use the tissue from that to create a new hymen. I don't think it is worth losing hearing in one ear just to satisfy the ego of some yet unknown male who likely has a sexual history of his own.

No. I do not.

Give me a break, grow up.  When you become a virgin again, then you can expect the same thing from a woman.  SHEESH, talk about antiquated ideals.

If you don't want to get messages from people about why you don't like non-virgin, stop talking about it.

To the OP,

NO WAY IN HELL would I have it done.  I remember the pain of having the first one break when riding my brothers bicycle.  Shudders at the memory.  Tell you what, lets form a group to go kick the father in the balls for an extended period of time, just so he will have to suffer the pain he wants to put his daughter through.

Japanese women have been having hymen reconstruction surgery for a while. I have to assume it's more for the new in laws then for their fiances.

As far as an 11 year old? I'd report that father to child protective services and demand he get some parenting classes.
