Here in of course lies the differences.......As a man, even a submissive one, i can see and understand the tangible qualities of the male mind. Specific measurable, quantitiative, attainable skills...(Note I did not say realistic ). It also seems as if female Mistress' are more demanding on their submissives than male Dominants are...I could be wrong just an observation. I once met a female dominant who's perspective was there was no difference between a male domiant and a submissive....her point was a submissive male makes his Mistres cum as many times as she wants and a Dominant male ties up his submissive and makes her cum as many times as he can....naive i know but amusing

Hello, Having given this some thought, I wanted to throw my $0.02 cents in. The problem I am running in to is the title of the thread; I dont necessarily want skills per se, I want things which are more intangible. 1) When I am with a good dance partner, she follows my lead and we make poetry together. I want this in a submissive; she follows my lead and we make poetry together. 2) I want a woman who is assertive, speaks her mind, is articulate and literate, and able to hold her side of a conversation up. 3) I want her to say no when she means no, and yes when she means yes, and to articulate uncertainty if she is uncertain. M. Taggard- Once upon a time, while getting ready to go out someplace fancy( I remember I was wearing my tux, but can't recall where we went), I got out of the shower to find the girl standing by the desk, and crooking a finger at me. I walked over, and sat in the chair as indicated, and she gave me a hot towel, hot lather, striaght razor shave. I don't think there are any skills per say I would want my slaves to have. The only thing i would hope for,is that they open to all things. It has been my experience that even slaves who start out not interested in a certain topic, or completely turned off by a certain topic, at some point because more suseptable to an idea. As the relationship between a master and a slave develop, the slave learns to trust the master. She learns to depend on him and put more and more faith in him. As time goes on she lays so much faith in him that she begins to trust that he would not hurt or in any way damage her. Often this thought changes the view of the slave and allows her to do things she before couldn't or couldn't try. If you can find slaves with this quality, there truely is nothing taboo except what you, the master, deem to be taboo. In my opinion this is a perfect trait in a slave, and the only one that matters. The duties any one slave can perform are irrelavent in my life, as if one slave can't do what you expect get another slave that can. Having a multiple slave relationship may have something to do with my oppinion so don't hold it against me. On a similiar rather ammusing note, I was reading some of the personals of new members today and ran across a rather ammusing one related sorta to this topic. It was by a slave who said "The Master I chose must be able to spell because my master is supposed to be superious and if he can't even spell then he isn't superior". What the hell? Sorry had to get that out.

Hello, I personally think cats should be standard issue in Dom boot camp. There is not a living creature that can teach a person more about being Dominant in a relationship than a cat. It lets you know when you should feed it. It climbs into your lap when it wants attention. It ignores you and wont give you the time of day unless it feels like it. Of course, I used to give my daughter's cat a bath. A 16 pound neutered male who hated baths. I have scars. Did this stop me? No. I was going to prove to this cat who was higher on the food chain if it killed me :) After a nice long bath to get him all shiny, a few hours for him to sulk, and dinner, he would climb into my lap and start purring as I rubbed him behind the ears. I would have cats, but I hate the smell of a litterbox and I dont live in a place I can put in a cat door. Sinergy
