GALLERY OF GOOD IDEAS
The gallery of good ideas come from the experience a person who is in "The Scene," who in the old days, had to make their own toys and tools from every day things on hand.
Many books are now written with the "home made," flavor to it, that shows "How to" make toys or to make BDSM furniture.
There are more ideas stored in a person's mind than any one author can put into words, as new ideas keep popping up always, or some things long ago did not work right, but another person made it do exactly what you thought it could, just had a "problem solving" way to fix it.
Some of us are just not as "handy" with our hands or tools and depends on others to make things for us as we can flog better than making them.
Rat traps and mice traps are one of my favorite home toy, I pick up a pack of these traps in our local hardware store, and are most wonderful for the new beginner discovering "genital torture" play. Not only is it a great mind tease but the effect is gentle and highly recommended for sensitive nipples
Common sense prevails here, as when using rat or mice traps you gently open and gently lower onto the nipple, clit, penis or testicle sack without catching the balls on the bar.
Rubber scrapers that are called "egg scoop" scrapers make nice paddles, and of course my basting brush is with me always as well.
When applying the basting brush directly on the nipple, I press in and twist and watch the submissive dance.
The kitchen is a gold mine for the economy dominant.
Dining rooms are nice too, however not in what some would expect.
That nice sturdy table that spreads is a nice bondage table. Just spread that submissive out, like a good meal and you can pick and choose any number of spots to torment those genitals.
Sturdy chairs found in most dining room sets are rather nice for bondage. Just make sure you allow space for a rambunctious submissive to tumble on their face or keel over on their sides.
Of course this is not the ideal condition, as you really do not wish to have a submissive fall and implant their teeth into the furniture.
As we go into the living room area, wonder if you have a swivel rocker chair. That makes a nice spin the slave, in a disorientation play.
Tie, blindfold and spin the submissive like spinning the bottle.
Living rooms in their designs seem to have the most space, book shelves are nice however, it would be nice to have a concealed "X" or make a nice square "A" frame to get into the "restrained" submissive.
Television and videos are often found in the living room. Perhaps in punishment, a slave or submissive can be tied to a chair and forced to watch some video that he/she hates during a program time they prefer to watch. Barney perhaps?
Fireplaces if you have them are great for fire scenes. The hearthstone is there for a reason and the author can not think of a more proper place to have such a scene, putting the flame into the fireplace and out of harms way.
The fireplace can also be made into a nice real log fire and have a cuddle session with each other as so nice and relaxing.
Hall ways are nice as well, as those arches or posts can make nice standing restraints with some cleverly designed hooks and some good thoughts and extra support for the arch or post for a fighting submissive who will jerk and pull with their body weight and add three times the body weight torque and you will have a safe restraint.
Coat closets are kind of nice. When not hanging coats you can restrain a submissive or slave in there and close the door and make a dark cage.
Being a very nice dominant at times, I do allow a flashlight in there, a bucket for human waste and a towel.
If I feel really generous, they may get a blanket or pillow.
Now the bedroom. Lovely bed you know, a wonderful way to sleep, with a sub-
missive or slave sleeping on the floor at the foot of it or on the side.
If the bed has posts, you can hang a slave or submissive by the wrists, or spread them open into a spread eagle position and enjoy the view of their naked body as they are helplessly tied to the foot of your bed.
Some may wish to raise the bed onto a square frame, to make a enclosed and self contained "box" under the bed with holes to make a lovely "under the bed" cage for their slave or submissive.
Of course, one can always include a pull out drawers, and one can just happen to be a "pull out submissive/slave."
Bedroom closets are roomier, you can have a few submissives or slaves there. But, of course some of us need that space for our clothes.
Those walk-in closets are great, as there is so much room, but if you are in an apartment, just do the best you can or box up those clothes and keep what you need on hand.
Bathrooms are lots of fun, as you can find bars for "handicap" assistance in some of them. This makes a nice way to tie a submissive down to the tub, especially when it comes time for a enema, golden showers and other water torture.
Some may wish to find a old chair, take the seat out and replace it with a old toilet seat, as to permit the slave or submissive to sit in it as they use the "box" after the enema.
Slaves in training earn the right to use a regular toilet, so in the mean time a kitty litter box works nice to catch those bits of waste.
Of course this use of the box is after a slave comes from earning the right too. They are to use the newspaper placed on the floor and a bucket.
To have a basement is wonderful treat, as a dungeon can be easily placed there.
However, for those who do not have a basement, one can use the attic, garage
the room in the stable or a stall.
The main thing that is important is adequate space and adequate strength to maintain the control and furniture for the strong submissive.
However, for the apartment dweller. There is hope!
Those apartments and their space have to work harder for you, than say, a house owner.
The corners can hold a triangle cage, by having three sides in a triangle, tuck it into the corner the broad side with a gate and lock, one can have a good cage.
Just to make it into a fake birdcage when not in use for the sake of those apartment inspections or that mother that comes to visit.
When choosing an apartment, try to locate one on the end or corner, as to shield the noise or limit the noise to other neighbors. Perhaps telling management that you're into arts and crafts and make noise making such crafts, you wish not to disturb the neighbors. You will hopefully be found somewhere that you can be happy with and with a little more peace of mind, as flogging does at times make sound like gun shots or loud slaps. Just be prepared for police to come and check things out as your neighbors call thinking somebody is being "beaten" to death.
The apartment furniture has to work harder as well. The piano bench is sturdy for a spank bench, bedroom closets and poster beds as well, the dining room table strong enough to hold a submissive as if a bondage table yet a table for dinner when not in use.
Some coffee tables are too frail, so when searching for furniture, buy for strength.
Having a low back couch, with soft back area of support, a pull out and a submissive/slave face up or down on the back of it makes a nice spanking or whip area to position a submissive or slave.
With hardwood floors, and wishing to have a submissive/slave walk across it with their legs in chains, it is a good idea to protect the floor from scratching, by covering it up with fleece or halter tubes found in most tack shops.
In covering chain, it muffles the sound and protects the floor.
In wrapping rope around the bedpost, it should be done only after soft material is placed between the post and the rope. Rope tends to peel off the finish of the wood.
Some "x" frames can be concealed under the bed or between the mattress and box spring.
With houses, the wall studs are strong but apartments do not have such strength, so use freestanding restraints if possible.
Decorating the apartment and house is a way to create the theme of the area, some are successful by blending Renaissance style into their home or apartment to better help conceal the BDSM nature of things.
In thinking, creating your dungeon regardless of it being a basement or a one bedroom apartment, one should think of safety, security and the adaptability of the furniture as to allow vanilla and BDSM play.
For those who are on the go, a conversion fan will be nice "dungeon-on-wheels," or a nice Recreational Vehicle, in which a person can stand.
Some of my favorite home made or off the shelf toys are as follows:
Rat traps, mice traps, clothes pens, wood spoons, wood cutting boards, plastic cutting boards, rubber egg-spoon scraper, rope, chain, feather duster, baster bristle brush, Rubbermaid's attached scrub to the palm of the rubber glove, Rubbermaid's grooming mitt for horses, plastic pipe for feeding of rope or chain through with hooks on the end to make a spreader bar, wood dowels for canes, dog collars of both leather and chain, leashes, old leather belts that can be wrapped around a few times and buckled can be excellent restraints, blindfolds made from goggles blacked out by electrical tape or sleeping blindfolds, horse curb chains with leather attachments and rings, burlap, all types of brushes, from make up to scrub brushes, fur, silk scarves, koosh balls that feel like spider feet when gently rolled or wiggled, rowel spurs, pizza cutters, horse tail whisk found in tack shops, pledge paddle, rubber balloons to fill water and thus makes weights, 2 liter soda bottles filled with water or sand make the weights needed as well. Old fishing rods cut and tips put on make good canes, take out food utensils make good disposable toys, an extended clothes hanger is known as a "pimp paddle," because pimps used this to hit the prostitute that misbehaved, candles and saran wrap all make nice toys.

18. Costume shop/supply stores
19. Car and truck dealerships (get the conversion van or recreational vehicle
for a port-a-dungeon)
Of course when buying off the shelf flogger, know your strength and know what your partner can handle.
When only able to buy one flogger get the medium. The dominant can swing
harder or lighter by staying in the middle flogger range.
Pulling back some of the tails of that one flogger can create another sensation, as well as twist the tails and hit makes another.
When the dominant can afford to purchase another flogger, purchase a light and then a heavy, this gives a nice range of sensensations. Course going shopping it is hard to resist buying toys. End of Excerpt.
