It is an age question again and it really shouldn't matter..whatever is right for you and or feels right.I also like MeanMommie's idea..i mean,if your sub has mashed potatoes for brains,it's not really doing you any good.And i certainly don't mean subs whom are truly losing their minds(dimentia,alzheimers).

AAAIII!!??? What?? i feel like that at times having to forget things most of the time... How many times i have locked me self out thinking that i have the keys but don't.. i had top give spare keys to the neighborhood so i don't call my folks to come 60 miles away so they can open for me. (coming to think of it i even forgot how many keys i gave away...??). By the way both those brain disorders run in my family...[sm=idea.gif]

Dear Justme. i never wished to be attracted to them. In fact i find it very immoral for a 45 year old man as i am to even see myself being dominated in anyway whatsoever way to a person that could be considered as young as being my daughter. There is no way that i could even think of establishing any communication with a person in there 20's as i would like my partner and myself to share some of the same thoughts in our minds from a life that W/we both have witnessed. i am part of the believe that age should attract respect. No matter how much of a Dominant a young person has they will never have nor gain the experience in life that the mature person has. Age = wisdom for most of us at least. What i wanted to highlight here is that the younger Dominants are more aggressive in there approach as to wanting to experience. They wont hold back to choice of partners as much as the mature Dommes do. i still tend to get the feeling that there are many mature Dommes who are very much up tight themselves and quite frankly cant handle a challenge of a mature submissive thinking that they will lose there "prestige" to who?? i guess many have to report back to some union that called the "sisterhood" which rates them as to how they go or if they are up to scratch or not.... (this is the perception i get from my community at the very least) There are always the exceptions ofcourse who feel strong enough and independent to be there own selves and not an image that is always held up for review by the rest. i feel sorry for such people who live with having to constantly look over there shoulders of how they rate to there fellow community members, and i applaud the younger ones who are free of the status quo.

I believe someone mentioned age being a taboo. Many people find that very exciting in and out of the lifestyle. And as Bdsm naturally lends itself to exploring peoples taboo's it is not surprising that people find age differences exciting. Both the older experienced Dom and the young untrained sub are fairly common stereotypes that many people have fantasies about.

Wherein lies the problem many people have. When the fantasy doesn't meet the reality. As being older doesn't make you wise automatically and not all young people are inexperienced newbies.

For me personally I have never set an age limit on relationships. As long as we click on a personal level and have interests that we can enjoy together. Age is not an issue. Though I have found that someone within at least 10 years of my own age usually works best for me.

I agree with much of it..although I am not sure if all people get wise at a certain age. Perhaps they are, but not all know how to use it.
Sure would be weird, if you have kids, to have a girl owned of the same age. I can understand that. But if you connect, you connect.
Girls seem to like other males...so if both parties have mutual feelings..then to me it would be ok.
Beeing realistic..at a certain age...it sure will lead to differences. The view on the world...experience....how one reacts...all is different.
I had that already with my previous slave which was 11 years younger.  Small differences at first..but if you continue..and grow older...they seem to become bigger also. But as with many things...all peopel are different...for soem it might work.

as to weather age makes a big difference for me at the age of 50 it is the younger slaves that are comeeeing to they know that I have learned to do things right take my time as they say that we get more caring with age and  that makes the young slaves feel safer and that is why they come to me first

Hey, I'm young and I already have mashed potatoes for brains; this infliction is not isolated to the elderly. My inability to remember the day of the week is eccentric and endearing, dammit!

As a young lady, I find that I prefer older partners almost exclusively. There really isn't a limit on this, or at least, hasn't been so far. However, I can see myself as an older matriarch greatly enjoying having some hot young things around. It's all about the contrast. If I'm young and wild, it's nice to be with someone who has a little more experience and stability. If I'm older and have that stability, it will probably be a welcome change of pace to have someone younger and more chaotic in my life.

On a more humorous note, I am surprised no one has cited the standard creepiness rule for dating and age:

Don't date anyone under the age of (Age/2 + 7). So I'm 26. That means dating anyone under 20 would be creepy. Good thing my favorite piece of jailbait just turned 20. I wouldn't want to be creepy!

Dnomyar no they do not have to be within 10 years of my age. It just has happened that the best relationships I have had so far have fallen into that age range. But I would consider anyone who I felt a real connection with.

Would you consider that maybe you have been attracted to the same age group 22-45 depending on  how aged or how less aged the woman you adored was. Your age has changed but you taste has not. Just a thought. I agree that younger women are looking for security not love, today ,as I am sure it was in the short and long past, security equates love! Our young people are using tools that are showing them the realities of a very harsh and dangerous world at light speed and they feel and believe time is short and life is only precious to a conscious mind. So stability with options is the most attractive partner.

Disclaimer:  this isn't about domme/sub per se, but about age differences in couples.  I had a serious (and long distance) 2+ year relationship with a Bulgarian girl (nearly flawless English & linguistics major with whom I spoke Japanese, so don't go making any "East Euro bride" associations) who was 20 when we met and I as 36.  I pass for about 10 years younger and she was mature (see, East Euro [;)]).  I know a couple here in S.F. with the same age difference.  I think it's really a question of the individual couple -- sometimes it works with a large age range, sometimes it doesn't.  Both older and younger women have their individual charms.  I would imagine if it's a simple domme/sub relationship, and not a full-time, emotional relationship, that the age difference is even less important.  (Unfortunately, my now x-gf didn't want to leave Europe.  [X(] )
