Has originality gone completely by the wayside?

No, I don't think it has.  It just goes on vacation at times.

There've been several topics I've wanted to post on following the sessions I attended at SPLF.  Unfortunately, I've been very busy of late with little time available to compose them or follow them once I do.

There's also the issue, that one can open the door to a discussion with what they think is a very interesting thought, but they can't force others to walk through the door with an open mind that's at all receptive to the subject being introduced.  So whether or not others would participate in a something based on an OP posted of interest to me might be a different matter entirely that could cause it to quickly disappear.

Actually, pixel, I've been very interested to hear more details on your time at SPLF.  I'm hoping there will be an opportunity to hear more about your time there.

This is basic forum behavior. It happens on any forum. There are the basic complaints...the basic "I need help"s...and the basic over-done topics. They just change from forum to forum.

Lady Pact--I wanted to think about this a bit before I replied---I do see a lack of imagination here on the boards---I am guilty of regurgitating topics---however, I do it as a result of what I see posetd n the boards at times--we see the rush of newbs--the "strap-on in the headlights" look, the obsession with anal stuff, CBT, even the "where did my emails go"---oy, seems everytime there is a full moon, we get the rush and everytime its the waning moon, we all get testy---lol

I think though too, maybe people are afraid sometimes to share their ideas if they feel they are not extraordinary or out of the " accepted flavour of BDSM"--I remember one post, I thought it was from DV that one of her boys when they first met took her to a deer park for a picnic---how cool is that??? And yet there are many that would poopoo that as pffftt that isnt the hot BDSM, ( yeah if it isnt 6 inch stilettos walking across some guys nuts, it isnt interesting--worse yet, " how in the world can that be BDSM"???)---

sigh, so I think its cycles, and we will in a few cycle again to some new content I hope and expanded imaginations.

Well you did, and as you can see, neither thread made it to page 2 before dying.  I suppose that supports my point made earlier in this thread about being able to open a door for others to walk through where they can have a discussion on a new topic which you might find interesting or one that is unique for this place, but that doesn't mean they'll do more than peek they're heads in and leave...

There's a lot I could say about the "Spirituality and BDSM" subject that I'm not going to share on an open forum.  That's the most intimate stuff there is.  I'm glad you made the posts, and I did reply to the extent I felt comfortable.

At least Clown Sex got to three pages.

I can appreciate where you're coming from.  I respect people's right to maintain their privacy as well as their comfort zones with what they want to share even though I'd have greatly enjoyed hearing much more from you.

Guess that says a lot about what people find of most interest around here doesn't it?   Then again, if I had any interest in becoming a male wife again...

I really enjoyed the Clown Sex thread.  I don't encounter new-to-me kinks everyday.  However, we can compare the following threads:

(1) incorporating spirituality into your relationship and sexplay... under one page.

(2) fighting to cyberdeath about which religion is the truest... going on 8 pages.

I won't post on (2), because I lack imagination.  I can't imagine how posting there would benefit anything or anyone.
