It appears that it is not ONE collar she doesnt care to wear it's a slew of them. I would say she just wants them to match each outfit which to me is impossible. And, people may be right... she wasnt ready for it... but without knowing the 2 of you, I couldn't really make that determination... just my 2¢ ... Dreamer
