Do you remember some advices/quote  that you heard when you were young,who seemed stupid or who made you mad but with years who appeared to be so real?

For exemple: When I was young and desesperate for not having boyfriend; my grand mother used to say: It will happend to you when you expected the most!!!!

It made me sooo mad because it was not helping me, but hey now that I am grown: It is so true.

What is/are yours?
