ramen noodles with a good sesame oil drizzled on them is tasty.  or with oodles of butter and lightly sprinkled with garlic salt ( I prefer the mccormick Calif. garlic salt)

Ramen noodles are already fried in oil. I can't believe you add more fat to this equation. Overall, ramen noodles are so processed that I hardly consider them food - more like food-stuff.

I'd use some nice fettuccine if all you want is noodles and butter - then you'd have fettuccine al burro. Spinach angel hair or linguine would also be good and cut down on some of the carbs (it still wouldn't be low-carb though).

I'm Italian so we made this stuff from scratch twice a week growing up. And no, we didn't "extrude" it like it was play-doh, we used a knife on a wood board or one of those manual crank pasta makers.

ramen is cheaper :)

rats and skirrels shall be cooked fully so as to kill the parasites.   also make sure you dont eat the intestines. on that note too- im less edxcited over hamburger due to sloppy meat processing-  the shtt falls onto the line, the line must move- so hamburger cotains feces, where as properly served rodents might not.

Check the ounces per package and do a real comparison. Is any possible savings worth putting that un-food in your body?

Ramen is just loaded with fat and salt.

Maybe try some bean threads. There's probably a few hundred alternatives on this Ramen issue.

pahunkboy:

Try a butcher shop. They'll have something for around $2-3 a lb. behind the glass. Select what you like and then have them grind it for you fresh. Coarse for chili, finer for burgers. If you have a processor you can do it yourself also.

That reminds me of those cartoons that depict two characters starving and experiencing cabin fever. One character will look at the other and suddenly imagine them to be a full course turkey dinner.

I love that bit!

[:D]

Another variation is where they have one last bean in a can and are eating it in the thinnest possible slices as if it were a slab of steak.

Those were great programs.Lots of adult humor in them.

Personally,I`ve always found it funny that we look at some animals as pets.Creatures we love and would never think of eating.

And other critters? Yummm!  lol
