Have you noticed the plethora of Hollywood movies with nasty evil Arab terrorists, all geared up with turbans and moustaches? They've taken over from the Russians as the stereotypical baddies. And people slowly fall for it; the power of propaganda...

It is scary.  There was a dip in Muslim immigrants to the US shortly after 9/11, but it was followed by a surge.  Why are the newcomers assimilating here but not there.  Or are they?  Interesting.

Go back to the beginnings of each religion (when doctrines were first penned), and guess what?  If "brethren" doesn't work for you, how about cousins?

         Why no, Kitten, I haven't noticed this.  In fact, I've noticed quite the opposite in recent years.  Could you cite a few, particularly those made since 9/11?  United 93 is the only one I can think of, and that wasn't fiction (since I strongly doubt you've seen it).

And ,...'24' is a huge hit.

Jack Bauer is Ann Coulter`s wet dream(as well as neo-con`s)

It`s been going on for years and didn`t change b/c of 9/11.

Add to that the reality TV of Bush and crew calling the the Iraqis terrorists for years  and invading them on that faults premise.

Status: offline 		Actually in each of the one's that you listed there were some peaceful and law abiding ones. In fact in 24, the biggest and scariest one, denounced using violence and was seeking political means to change the world.

So how many films since 9/11 have shown the US government or corporations to be the big bad guys? It is a trick question either way, and really has no relevance to what is occuring.

So do you feel safe walking into some third world country, that pratices traditional Islamic beliefs, and proclaiming you are not a Muslim?
