Late, but even still... prayers... I've been in your situation before and it's not fun. I hope they can provide you with some answers, and that the answers are simple things easily and quickly taken care of.

I want to thank you all for the prayers, groovvy feelings, good energy, *gropes~ whoo hoo* and also personal messages sent on the other side. A person has no idea how much they are cared for untill they are thier lowest.

Esp. to those who do not post usualy for comming out of the wood work... *big huge hugs* and also to my already dear friends.

This ment the world to me. Your good wishes and words.

I hate to admit it.. and I am never one to be afraid of anything... ya'll know me.. I would stroll through hell in a gasoline G-string for a worthy cause. LOL But being this sick for so long has scared me.

It has given me extra online time to be with all of you.. but I would rather be at work making money for my family. *winks*

In late Dec. I got one hell of a flu. It turned into a ear infection in both ears, and a really bad case of sinusitis. It progressively got worse. I began losing my hearing, sense of balance and some times vison. I was taken to the ER twice because my sinus passages and throat had closed up and I was unable to breathe. In the middle of all of this I took care of any dental infections that may be acerbating the infections in my head. ( 2 teeth pulled, crowns, and fillings. Yeah my dentisit's kids are going to have a nice go at College thanks to me ) I have been on 4 courses of antibiotics, one more strong then the last. The last being avelox and a steriod they use on cancer patients. Netiher worked.. they just made me feel sicker. ( or so I thought) when the last were over in 2 weeks I really crashed. The ENT ( wicked Ear Nose Throat guy who loves shoving a 2 foot tube down my already sore nose) then said I needed a CT scan. I did that this morning, and I go back to the ENT on the 20th for the results.

So I am scared. My aunt Virgina had a on going sinus infection that penitrated the covering over her brain. By the time they found out and got to it she also had a tumor because of it.. so I am not playing around with this stuff. I am just so tired of being sick and tired.. *sighs*

The Dr. thinks if the infection is still there he will have to roto-rooter my sinuses and put in ear tubes ( maybe take my tonsils..) at a minium.. so I am not happy. Hopefuly it hasnt gone past that and into any of the bone structures or anything.

So I really wanted to thank you all for your prayers and thoughts. They really do mean a lot to me.

I suspect that being a woman you simply have forgotten to fart, and there is a pressure buildup somewhere.

Gwynvyd...I had the rotor rooting sinus surgery...piece of cake ... the only thing that got to me was the packing you will have to keep in for awhile... But other than that no problems... It takes a little while to heal because of swelling but soon you will tell the difference. Don't be afraid of the surgery...look forward to the results afterwards.

We hang out with a group that to score "points" you have to fart on one annother ( you have to do it well enough that the person either feels the heat, or the vibration.) I do it to my son all the time. ( yeah not such a dainty lil flower I know...) *chuckles* My ding bat son got into trouble with his class mates.. and his teacher for doing that at school. The kids didnt take kindly to it. *snickers*

He also got into trouble for belching the alphabet.. ( another one of our "guy" past times. ~yeah I am so the "Dad" )

I hope it is nothing.. Once my little guy gets his social filters in place we can go back to our gross out contests.. much to my girls disgust.

Good to hear from someone who has had it.. I hate anything up my nose.. I cant even do the nasal sprays.. I would suck as a junky.

the ENT putting that hose up my nose was the single most scarest/painful at once medical thing I have had. ( including all the dental shit I just had done. )

How long did it take you to recover?

I hope this turns out to be manageable without surgery. As for the tube in the nose, I've had to have that done as well, so I feel your pain. It was the scariest thing I've ever had done to me, so I think I can imagine what you had to deal with.... You don't know me, but if you ever need yet another person to rant with, my inbox is open.

Not long at all Gwyn... very little pain but it is a bitch not being able to breath through your nose...I believe I had the packing in for three days... then you go in and the pull it out... what a relief... It took a month or so before I was glad I had it done... been fine ever since and I had my surgery in 1995...most likely it is even easier now...Good luck....remember this surgery is not to be feared.

that makes me feel more at ease about it.. I have heard some horror stories about it... something about " it never being the same"

My nose is big enough.. I dont need them to screw it up... LOL

It sure worked for me...I was sick all the time...one sinus infection after another...I felt weak and tired...I ached all over all the time...I really had a terrible time sleeping... I didn't want to do anything with anyone...

All better now...It will not change one thing about the look of your pretty nose...guaranteed.
