on a serious note...that can cause your tongue to swell and then it is very easy to bite it again.

I go through huge amounts of gum...... it's one of the few "vices" I have left to indulge in.....but repetition doesn't make it better.

Ah...herein lies your problem, dear Level. You need to aquire more vices. Once you do so your gum chomping will lessen and your tongue will be forever grateful.
