i love it when i give the oldest a surpise gift, Shel Silverstein's "The Light in the Attic" and i get a really happy and grateful reaction. ("Gasp! Oh thank you, mommy!!!!*flips open front cover and starts reading in the car*)

I arrived too late to get henna done but have had it before which was fantastic

I absolutely LOVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEEEEE this exchange this morning, with my 6 yr old:


Me:  Which of these things do you want for breakfast? (I have put out a couple of choices on the counter)
Kidlet:  I don't know mommy.
Me:  Okay, how about if I do your hair while you think about it (her hair is long, and gets tangled, and I brush it and braid it every day)
Kidlet:  Mommy, I can't think when I'm screaming.
Me:  Honey, none of us can.


Bwah hahhhhhhhhhhhhh hahhhhhhhhhhh I need that on a tshirt... "I can't think when I'm screaming".

I love it when I had to swim to school and swim home and I walk in the door and it's nice and warm and I go into the bathroom and take off my wet clothes and put on warm, dry jammies. It just sings comfort and home.

I love that I finally felt in a suitable headspace to sit down and talk with my boss about some concerns that I have about my job and the company.

I love that she listened to me and said that they know that they are not making the best use of my skills and experience and have some thoughts in mind which are exciting

I love that she listened to my request for a significant salary increase and is going to do a performance review with me on monday as the first step in discussing this seriously

Even better I love that when I came home and told my flatmate about all of this he said that if I don't feel satisfied with the outcome he could use me in a six month contract position which would give me the salary I want!!!!!

I love that I have a warm home, filled with love.

I love that I have a body healthy enough to shovel out my driveway.

I love that I have a vehicle that is paid off, still looks decent, and operates fairly well in inclement weather.

I love that someday I'm going to send all this fucking snow to jlf.

I love that he will like that, since he's the one wishing for an ice age.

I love that my job is flexible enough that I can occasionally work from home.

I love that I have a job.

I love that the Blizzard of 2010 pt's 1&2 are over & done with and we survived!!!
I love that I walked to work yesterday & finished my documents, walked home safely on a main road w/plenty of traffic[>:],  finished 6 loads of laundry yesterday, dug out my car, scrubbed out kitchen cabinet, dishes, vacummed and finally took a hot shower & washed my hair.
