I love it when...
There is a neighbor lady who is a great seamstress. She has these amazing sewing machines that she can embroider all kinds of stuff with. Well, I found a poem that just spoke to me... just a few short words, and it touched my heart. So, I asked her if she could embroider it for me. She and I spent about two weeks laying it out, deciding on fabric and colors, and thread. She just brought it over to me! It's beautiful. The amazing thing for me is that although I'm deeply creative, I am not artistic. I can think a thing through, but making manifest an actual physical representation of my idea just eludes me.
She told me that if I wanted her to make any more... of any design, to tell her, and she will make it. She says the stuff I like is much more interesting than the things she is currently making. She's basically bored. She teared up when she left (*eep*) and wants to keep making stuff with me even though I'm far away. Hallelujah for skype!
I'm thinking... hey that nice Italian phrase I have down there... that'd look pretty all embroidered.
I love how she works so well with me. I love her integrity. I love being able to be creative. I love how dear she is.
