I was emailing a Mistress from this site who was/is looking for a personal slave to clean for her and serve her.

She was demanding that I be at her beck and call 24/7 and when she calls drop everything and be kneeling in front of her in less than 1/2 hour.

Do some Dommes think people who serve have no jobs, no bills to pay, no life???? I tried to explain to her that when I was not working this would be possible, however she stated her desires would be met or I could look elsewhere. I'm looking elsewhere

Do people in 24/7 service really drop everything and run to their Mistress or Master, not caring about their job or how they will pay their mortage?

Consider yourself lucky. At least she flagged herself as being unreasonable, and a fantasy based personality right from the start. She's been reading way too many cheap BDSM novels. If this is the sort of "service" that she expects, I guess she'd best limit her search to people who are on disability, or lotto winners that don't need to work for a living.

Not all Dommes are like this - trust me ... the ones who post here regularly have a firm grip on reality (except for brief periods when we are really tired, or on medication

Even a dominant who has someone in 24/7 service has a sense of reality as far as working goes. That lady needs someone to live in with her!

it's situational, and it's unlikely "perhaps" even to make this possible. one such case i found was were i or a submissive could serve a married dom/me couple, as well as be a maid to the house and a nanny to their child.

given a room to live in, financial necessities covered, and some form of allowance for other personal trivialities.

so... no 9-5 job you can't get away from, and no bills of your own to pay.

but as far as having a life... i guess that depends what sort of life you find fulfilling.

the one you talked to though, is probably suffering from idiocy. until common sense comes in a pill there's not much you can do to remedy it.

I'm going to modify my previous statement: IF she was offering to pay your rent, make your car payment, keep food in your fridge, in exchange for being her toy, then by all means... go for it.

Maybe she was just testing you to see where your grip of reality was. If you agreed to drop everything for her and run to her when you were supposed to be at work, you would have portrayed yourself as someone irresponsible in the day-to-day life whom she could not depend on if she ever needed you. Some "subbies" live in this fantasy world in which they live on a deserted island and are caged 24/7 when their owners don't need them.

As much as I love Mistress and try to do anything and everything for Her, my job and financial responsibilities come before any scene stuff. If She ever needed me for an emergency, then that is totally different because She is part of my family.

If I ever stated what that Dominant did .. it would certainly be as a test to see if the submissive was foolish enough to think that was possible.... Most of us have a firm grip on reality and know that 24/7 doesnt mean anything even near to what you describe and would not consider any submissive/slave that thought it did.

I find that fantasy doesnt pay the bills ... feed me .. provide health insurance ...provide housing.... transportation... or entertainment ...never mind ... luxuries.....

I have told Fox that even when he is here, on his off days. I dont expect him to drop everything just becasue I snap my fingers. I think having a subbie whose life revolved around e, and who had nothing of his or her own that was important enough not to walk away from becasue my coffee needed to be refilled would drive me insane. If I really NEED something, then yes I expect him to properly prioritize, but not to put me above all else no matter what.

I wonder, though, what someone like that would do if she did actualy find someone willing to do that, and then had to deal with them always being there...

Looks like you had a run in with a Mindfucker. Were you foolish enough to say yes to her demands im sure she would have taken great pleasure in making your life hell knowing you could never serve on that level. Thats being set up to fail.

I don't think it is realistic for most people. If someone can do this and wants to do this, more power to them. I would agree that the person in question sounds like someone without a lot of experience.

The people who expect a total stranger to drop his/her life and be at her beck and call immediate are people living in a fantasy world. In fact, I'd go so far at to say that ever a honest, realistic 24/7 dominant knows that that isn't going t be the case or even what that to be the case.

I have a life, I expect my slave to have one as well, I just need to be the most important thing in his but I'm silly enough to think I'm the only thing.

In some cases, I think the dominant just doesn't realize what she has when she makes such "outrageous" demands. Some years back, I was the on call driver for a professional dominant/call girl in San Francisco. She would call me up, stating she had to be somewhere in an hour, and sure enough, I'd be at her door, picking her up and driving her to where she wanted to be. She knew I could be relied upon, but at some point, she decided she wasn't really looking to "own" anyone, so she just figured she'd keep me as her "on call" driver. When I discovered she wasn't actually interested in pursuing anything further than "driving", I found someone who was looking for someone like me at the time, and in a few months, I became her owned slave. Then the previous dominant didn't seem to understand why I wasn't going to be available anymore to drive her. She actually got really pissed at me, even though I had informed her months before that I would be seeking an actual dominant who was interested in actually dominating me; she didn't care at the time, mainly because it meant she didn't have to focus that much energy on me. I was upfront the whole time, and when the better person came along, I was overjoyed to become her slave.
