My fox is a furry but he is shaved every where by his head and eyebrows/lashes.

Furry isn't a human body thing, it's an inner feeling of being connected to some animal-like behavior though frankly I don't fully grasp it.

Status: offline 		I don't get furry either, I just figured that a fur wouldn't *hate* body hair, whether they had it or not!  Whatever, I sure know lots of furs.... but I suspect that is a crossover thing from other fandoms.

Status: offline 		 Hairy is icky to me, now fuzzy on the other hand *purrrr* I like how pet has a bit of hair on his chest, not so much that he looks like sasquach but just a nice teddy bear fuzzy feeling and I'm still able to see skin underneith. When I was younger I always thought I'd want a completely hairless man thinking hair was gross but after I found one it was weird everything seemed to stick to his skin when he got sweaty and there was nothing to run my hands across unless I wanted it to rub. To me fuzzy is sexy as hell, give me a little bit of hair and I'm happy. Not too much and not too little just right in the middle and I'm in teddy heaven.

Status: offline 		Nice thread.. I love my boy's clean.. a bit on the chest is OK but then again... get Me mad and I may just take an epilady to that chest.. shrugs... so it is a choice they make and a chance they take... as for the rest... nuts and ass clean!

My Mistress on the other hand has made me change from where I was clean shaven to having a very short trimmed v for Her.. lips and ass - totally clean.. but She wants a small tuft...

As far as genital hair or not... both can work, but I pretty much hate stubble.

Status: offline 		Pubes and underarm hair are gross on both sexes, I keep my body hairless from the neck down, I won't go that as to demand it from men, but all my partners came around rather sooner than later to take the razor to their armpits and pubes. Actually, it never required major persuasion, I just said "It turns me on and seriously, he looks a lot bigger without pubes" - you didn't see the dust underneath their soles when they were off to the bathroom to shave it off....

A couple of years ago I used itching powder on a guy (he slept in the nude, I sprinkled it on) and told him that he might have "lice" and shaving it off would help. That was the only "magic powder" but it also worked ;)

Great question and one that I recently had a discussion with a male submissive about.  He pointed out to me that most male submissives don't have facial hair (I list in my profile that I like hair on men and would rather have more than average if faced with that option or smooth).  I had a Scooby Doo moment on that; head tilted to the side, quizzical sound.  :>  It had never occurred to me that a male's submission had anything to do with body hair; one who's been submissive to me has facial hair and guys that have facial hair try to submit to me all of the time. 
If he's mine, it's my thought that a boy ought groom as I wish which would involve growing facial hair most likely and grooming their other hair as I desired too (Taking what flatters them, their jobs, their preferences, etc. into account).  Generally, though, let it grow.  I view a hairy body as an inherently masculine thing and I like men (Well, hot, quality men :> ).  It's a nice tactile thing and also holds scent beautifully.  Oh, and the weird male pube trimming and ball-shaving that seems to be popular among some men...I wish they would stop it.  My ex- did it because he fancied he looked bigger (And, he was above average anyhow) and I've known a number of guys who do it for the same reason.  It's really disconcerting to me to see a guy lacking in genital hair. 
Another distinction that I think may be relevant is some seem to connote smoothness with youth and if that dynamic is desirable, then the male's more likely to be substantially shaved.  If a more adult dynamic is present, perhaps moreso the presence of hair.  It makes sense to me as I contemplate it but it may be one of those me-things.  :>
