Posters responded but there was a significant amount who refused to answer - stating they couldn't because it broke TOS.

I didn't respond to that thread intentionally.  I don't really are about coolness or uncoolness.  But there are reasons those TOS exist and it's because people ARE into those things and the Powers of CollarChat don't want them discussed here.

Simply because an activity is illegal or unacceptable doesn't mean there's something wrong with liking it.  Feelings, inherently, aren't evil or wrong; actions are.  If I telll my slave to soak in an ice bath, and hold still when I'm having sex with her, I might very well be doing something that people don't care for; but in no way am I breaking any laws. 

My question, is why you care if you or anyone else looks cool or not?  Liking what you like doesn't affect any sort of kewlness.

Status: offline 		I didn't respond to the post, because I had nothing to say on the matter.  Fantasies can be very personal and since they are in your head, it feels safer to go to extreme places because 'it's not like you'd ever really do it.'  So it's quite possible their fantasies are a violation of TOS.  There are probably more people into it than you would think---particularly the first two. 

However, I still think you are probably the weirdest and uncoolest anyway

 Ditto. Somehow I don't think I'm 'kewl' nor is my fantasy (point word, fantasy meaning not in the realm of reality) 'kewl'. I'm not sure if I really understand your question. Is the problem that some answered? Or that some answered by saying they couldn't answer? Or that we don't want to break TOS?

Not to me, I did not answer because I am just not that wierd....according to CM standards.. now according to my best friend and my sister, I am a freak of nature because I like to be clamped, beaten, and face slapped... which is only enhanced by a blindfold and being restrained... pretty garden variety kink.

I would hate to throw something totaly fictional out there and have someone else pick up on it and say hey thats hot and try to do those things... They are fantasies because the responsible thing to do is not do them.

Status: offline 		See the dark little things we often fantasize about are supposed to remain fantasies. Once experienced they rarely live up to the hype or the completely live up to the hype and you become a slave to the activity and it becomes more unhealthy more like an addiction.

Personally I liked My answer, Sure it was Illegal what I am into depending on which side of the Mason/Dixon line you are standing on but trust me there is a reason it is a Fantasy and not something I seek out.

I am curious about some of the things that are mentioned as being unacceptable discussion in the TOS however I believe it will always remain a roaming curiosity cause I can't see myself actually following thorugh on any of them,

Status: offline 		For some people yeah.  I used to get accused of it a lot- that I'd get into the types of relationships I did just to try and "top my last one" and that I was just into those things for the attention.

What are you going to do?  I've had those desires since before I was masturbating, before I even understood what "sex" really was.  I think it's ridiculous that some are considered more hot/edgy than others to start with.  One persons edge is another persons snore.

Considering how boring I generally am, I don't think it really matters much.

If a fantasy involves harm to those unable to consent, my concern is about the person who moves to the realm of reality because the fantasy no longer satisfies.  I am very careful who I would share certain of my own perverse thoughts because I don’t want anyone to assume I’d really do ‘that’. 
A few years ago on another site a man shared such a fantasy on the forum; it was clear (to me, anyway) that he was struggling not to act on it in real life.  Yeah, I know, he is ultimately responsible for his own actions, but for some the line blurs too easily.  I don’t care to assist with that in any way.

I am sure that separating the lines between reality and fantasy are troubling for many, but most people have sexual fantasies that they never intend to act out... which is why they call it "fantasy". Just because someone has a fantasy that is not "legal" or "consensual" doesn't mean they will feel compelled to act on it.

... That's why they're fantasies.
