I admit that I occasionally provoke My Lord into a wrestling match or two, and being mouthy is part of that. However, I've always hated the, "up your butt you would know" stupidity, not to mention "chicken butt" and other childish obnoxiousness.
My Lord and I often verbally spar, even pretending to argue with one another. It's fun for both of us, but it's clear to one another that we are just playing. Being outright rude would be met with disapproval, a worse punishment than anything physical.
I know better than to push him to the point of retaliation. That would just be stupid. Learning when to shut up may be the most important bit of relationship wisdom I have ever acquired.
