I gotta ask... Profanity: Do you love it, hate it, use it, or play with it? How much or how little? Do you use the big 'bad' words, or do you use sweet words strung together obscenely? Do you use it to provoke specific emotions, or is it your main tongue of choice?

Profanity has nothing to do with our BDSM play. We both curse, and we see "bad" words as just words that people use to express themselves.

I've not read the rest of the thread but I'm sure it's already been said over and over by others:  I use profanity but it's very much a time-and-place thing.  I shape my speech in consideration of who I'm talking to, where we're at, etc.

Do I use it in play/scenes?  At times, yes... especially as it's not something you hear constantly or even often from me I find it works great in mood shifting and setting, whether it's whispered to them or screamed at them.

I am a fairly well bought up girl, middle class background very BBC English accent, and I love when I swear because people look so shocked, even if its a minor word, it doesnt sound right on my lips and I like that, it can be over used but I think there is nothing better than a well placed swear word, however in a D/s context I LOVE hearing swear words dunno why I just do.

What the hell does a Big Black Cock English accent sound like, is that what they call cockney, then; guv?

FR....

on an every day basis i have been working very hard at stopping my profanity...i found myself using it in inappropriate places...i gave someone some advice once that i found apt to give myself at that time...if it is ok to do something one place, but not ok to do something at another place and you are having trouble not doing it at the second place, it is usually a good idea to not to it all, even when it is ok...because if it becomes habbit, you just do it because your brain doesn't think about doing it before it does it...so...that being said...i have been trying to stop...

on the other hand, my Owner does not have that same problem, and up until about a month or so ago he never cussed around me....so when he calls me a "cum drinker" or says "i love you, you fucking bitch" it makes me all warm and fuzzy and squishy and loved...if that makes any sense? i guess because it is special...something reserved just for me...lol...

There's a time and place for everything, including profanity.   There are some words when said by Him that will put me into a whole different realm.

I've discovered that for me, in the bedroom as in erotica, sometimes there is nothing quite so sexy as a well-placed 'cock'.

Oddly enough this was erotic to me.

I got a thing for the British. Maybe thats it but it was the way you said it that got me interested.

Maybe I'm just a pervert.

No I know I'm a Pervert

Maybe I'm just wired wrong.

Swearing is fun-it's part of the taboo.

I actually like a sub who can be a nasty little animal and express the darkness in her-it's fun.

And I don;t even consider one saying something like "Fist me till I'm wide open, and fuck my ass till it bleeds!!!!" to be topping from the bottom-just charming.

I see profanity as a sign of weakness, that last bit of the language used for maximum emphasis. I genuinely worry about people who think it's cool to use it as part of their everyday vocabulary. It shows a complete ignorance in my opinion for one of the most fundamental parts of language - context.

Not that I'm saying here that I found such words as 'f*ck' and their effects on other people fascinating. I did. But I was 13 years old at the time.

I am inclined to agree with Stella, you're welcome.
Just thought I'd say that.

Bad language in the right context can work  but when used incessantly it grates on me.
I dont like it. and I dont like to read it in posts.
So stop it, you know who you are !

Angel and I use it as part of every day conversation. Minimally, but when it makes our point, it is there.
Fox does not swear. At all. Unless it is in session and I have said something first.
There are certain profane words that push both boys into subspace.

When profanity is a crutch, whe it i every other word someone uses it makes them sound unintelligent. When it is ust used like any other part of language, and makes the point, then thats how I see it. Just another word.

I use profanity during sex or scening. Like "Ow mother f**k, that hurt" or Oh f**k, oh f**k, or F**k me,f**k me daddy" You know, to deal with pain or sweet nothings in the ear. The place where they rightfully belong.

i am probably going to get my ass beat as ive not asked permission to post this; but my Miss is down and im not about to wake her(shes been down 2 days with a migraine) but  ive been told that profanity indicated a lack of education. but then again ive friends that are very educated that cuss like sailors. and it does add spice to a scene. the only words that are off limits to me are:"god d***". other than that im good to go.
