ORIGINAL: DesFIP People who attend services regularly have a stronger support system than do people who don't. After all, if your main times of seeing others is down at the pub, do you really believe any of them will visit you in the hospital, come to your mother's funeral etc? The pet study is odd however. It talks only about cats. Does that mean pet ownership health benefits do not extend to dog owners or parrot fanciers or people with pet hamsters, etc? I didn't actually read the links, but it seems to me there have been studies done that say having any furbaby (or fish) is beneficial.. Dunno about birds or reptiles though. I could be mistaken though.... I dont need any studies to know that The Cats are good for me :) There are days when they are literally the only reason I get out of bed.. (they won't let me STAY in bed.. gotta get up and feed them! LOL)
