I'm not too worried about it. The crap remakes are always pretty much forgotten, and the originals are still there, shiny and beautiful as ever! So far, about the only "remake" that ever seemed to equal it's original, if not surpass it, was John Carpenter's remake of "The Thing." Scary as hell! But they remade It's a Wonderful Life several times, but nothing beats Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed. Jackson remade King Kong, but I've still pulled out the original three or four times, and I have yet to play his version more than once. (I have the Dino DeLaurentic bomb too, but I don't even think I bothered to pull tha plastic off the cover.) Casablanca: remember the 70's remake? (I didn't think so) Invaders From Mars? (Hint: it had Karen Black and Louise Fletcher in the remake) They'll make a few buck on it sure... but I doubt it will make a lasting mark in our minds.
