Rome Rocks altho I think cleopatra should have been more of a voluptuous woman, not a skinny lil boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have watched it three times now. and  the top three of the innacurate list are three films I reaaaaaaaallly like, but im really not taking accuaracy into account, I just like half nekid men running around, I just love men in loin clothes/tunics/kilts/etc etc. One fo the most inacurate movies out.that I adore.....Life of Brian
LMAO but then I just love john cleese in a centurian costume

I don't know if you ever got Lone Ranger reruns in the UK, but that is a perfect example of that.  In the show, the Lone Ranger calls his Indian companion "Tonto".  Well that means "stupid" in Spanish.  Tonto calls the Lone Ranger (a white man), "Kemosabe", which means "wise man" essentially in Spanish.  Hmm, no racism there, huh?

I always wondered what Kemosabe meant. After I tried to learn some simple Spanish I sought of guessed it meant "he who knows" something like that.

We say over here that if you can listen to the William Tell overture and not think of the Lone Ranger then you are a musical/social snob.

Rossini wrote  some absolutely stunning music

i would also have Titanic though

Aye, in the film, didn't they have a Scottish bloke threatening to shoot women and children?.......or something like that......and the bloke's family sued the production company. I suppose style over-rides substance in this the world.

From what I can gather, The Untouchables was spot-on accurate......particularly the scene where the pram is falling down the stairs....I have it on good authority that that is exactly what happened back in the 1930s.

Indeed, nothing can quite top the Master of Allusions.
