Hell that's an easy question. First off, you know how to tell when a politician is lying don't you? His(gender neutral) lips are moving. (Uhmmm, mouth lips) The service agreements are easy enough to solve, don't allow any more benefit to Congressmen than they allow the serviceman. (while pay scales would obviously be different, the benefits and health care should be the same for all Government employees. No added perks, no special facilities. If Walter Reed AMC (and all other VA Hospitals) are good enough for our Warriors, it is good enough for all officials. Congress and the other branches are allowed to many exclusive perks. Our servicemen are most likely the best cared for in the world, but to us Warrior types and those that love us, it will never be enough, while to those holding the purse strings its most likely a bit costly to look after an Army. It's reasonable to assume most of the lawmakers have children at Harvard and not in Iraq. The fact is we have far to few common thinking men that are slumming in the Washington Capaital Area. Maybe its always been that way. Those that are making so many of our choices are so out of touch with the realities of daily life they aren't capable of making a good decision for a warrior or a commoner. I think the most important thing any American can do is to be more than cheap talk and political misdirective action. Live up to who you are and what you claim to be. If you can't live up to your word, live only in our memory and not our future. Was that a filibuster? Bull
