I'm surprised at the negative responses you've received. To me, it doesn't matter if this is your first post or your 1000th post. Living in an out of the area location can be difficult, especially when it can sometimes be difficult even in a well traveled area. My advice is to do what someone mentioned earlier, and that's to look into setting up your own munch where similar minded folk can start getting together. It may take years to really get going, but that could be years spent doing nothing and finding nothing as well. I was in one of those conservative little areas where it was difficult to find ANYTHING, and that's why I moved back to the Bay Area. Haven't been all that excited about the Bay Area since I moved back, so I'm thinking of moving again. Sometimes, you have to balance the desire to achieve that desired relationship with the desire to achieve a happy life of existence.
