Ride on a Jet is Boring, wear ear plugs, ear plugs wont help with the popping pain but will protect from the wind.
See if your tandem istructor can get you horizontal  so your face and body is facing the ground as you fall spinning fun as hell.

I've done about a dozen jumps, but it's been years ago. I was introduced to it by a Denver radio host by the unlikely name of Peter Boyles. It's a great time, and I'm sure you'll get addicted to it. (I almost was, but the fees quickly went up in the Denver area, and I haven't been back since... same with skiing.) Just make sure you have plenty of experience before you start trying anything delayed action, okay? :)
