well let me start by saying it is very refreshing to see someone new here who actually seems to be growing and actively walking their path in life; good for you!

My advice would be is there any cance you can give in to the needy, clingy emotional side and let it ride for a little? Will he allow you to feel that, and be there still to walk you through it till you know that he will still be there, still support you. It's like hitting a reset button, and sometimes you need to experience what you are feeling in order to work through them.  Speaking from my experince, I had never needed anyone... well thats not true in the past I had needed someone very bad bt had noone for a very long time that I convinced myslf I didn't need anyone... but then when that changed and I had someone dependable I was a little "off" emotionally. It took a few months but when I had worked through it with time and recognizing the behaviors I wanted to change (with his helpful reminders most times) I was able to pull it together.
Best of luck to you and feel free to drop a CMail anytime.

Exactly, I know I need to be pushed out of my comfort zone, and I love the results that it produces. Yet, because I no longer feel as if I am on stable ground emotionally and mentally, I start to panic...  So I go back to the devil I know, my old habits of being... the whinny, bitchy, emotional, needy female. And also to answer your question..no,  I am not angry at him, I am angry at myself for my inability to change.

It is good to know what the problem is. That is the only way to solve a situation.
Perhaps you should be pushed not to far outside your comfort zone. It is human nature to panic soem when one is out of control. Taking little steps, might give you more time to adjust.

Yes there are.  LOL

Seriously, it depends on what the activity is that causes you to panic.  Is it a simple one like being bound and not being able to get away, or is it one that can be harmful in the hands of an inexperienced dom.  I am certainly not saying that the dom is inexperienced, but just trying to understand.
