Status: offline 		I live in the 2nd floor of a 3 floor building...and the water pipes are pretty loud...I'm pretty used to it...but a minute ago they were really really loud and then all of a sudden there was this loud BANG...and it went quiet...LOL I'm guessing that is not a good thing...I'm gonna be pissed if my ceiling starts leaking or something LOL

it may be nothing...I don't know...I'm not hearing anything. May have just been a weird pipe sound?

Status: offline 		Any thing that will soften the vibrations and noise,Those old building probally have the original pipes which isn't good and won't be replaced until major damage occours....bounty

Status: offline 		my building isnt very old really...these apartments were built in 72 after the flood here.

Status: offline 		couldn't tell you if it's good or bad.it really depends on if when it was built if they used good materials or shoddy materials.it could be as simple as over useage.

when i complained to the landlord about the noise,
it took him a wecnh and about 5 minutes to fix.
but since your place is so old, DS is probably right.

Status: offline 		hun- you need to find the water shut off.   the one for your place and the main one.

if it is hot water- you wont notice until the current water cools or is used up.

find that shut off now!   as if there is a mess- it is not fun.
