Well, there is still snow on the ground in some places here in Northern Alberta and it snowed again last week, but the center part of the river started flowing today.  The edges are still covered in ice, but spring is on its way.

What signs of spring are you seeing now?

Lets see, last week, I sat in my car, looking at the buds on the trees and thinking how nice it was that spring was appearing. That night we got 4 inches of snow. It all melted and I saw a robin running around in the driveway. That night we got a few more inches. Now once again it's melted and I am watching the squirrels and wondering if it's going to snow again.

Gotta love Michigan

I didn't see it, but I did hear it. Last night as I was falling asleep I heard my very first spring froggie singing in the pond (which is still covered in ice lol). It's one of my favorite sounds to fall asleep by, especially when a whole bunch get going!Whoever said the country was quiet never spent much time in it.

The azaleas are blooming like mad, and are so beautiful.

And the mosquitos are coming out.

My nose is running and my eyes are itching and watering. Yes, seems like spring is here.

It's in the upper 60's here (low 70's all this week), it's raining constantly, the grass is green, and the trees are budding.  I expect to see the dogwoods and magnolias in full bloom in a couple of weeks.  Yeah, the skeeters are coming back.  But the birds are as well, I have been seeing duck formations for the last two weeks.  It's one of the reasons I love being a Southernor.

We don't usually get much spring here in south Louisiana.  We get winter, then POOF, everything is green again, and then it's HOT for 6 months!

It's in the low 80s this week.  BLECK!

Yep, and we get to watch for hurricanes again, soon.

Robins & other assorted tweeters making music at sunrise.

Some perennials are sending out shoots and some trees are blossoming.

I don't hear the crows yakking in the morning but I think this is unrelated to spring.

The days are cool and clear, 60-70 F, and the nights in the 40's F.  Some spring rainstorms come and go, a few weeks ago we had hail!  The trees and flowers are blooming and the yard is full of yellow mustard, daffodils and lupines.  The birds are singing and gathering their nests and new relationships are blooming.
