ORIGINAL: BlackKnight I've have a continuous headache for , hmm what year is it, 08, hmmm almost 5 years, Mine is diagnosed as a cluster headache, Doctors have no clue, I have 2 catscans and 2 MRIs here waiting for me to get off my ass and find another neurologist, to examine them, the last one moved out of state, hhhmmmm. Anyway it has many ranges in intensity, but it's always there (alright there was one day 3yrs ago I didn't feel it) it can be a low throb to a mind numbing constant stabbing/burning/beating that I can't get up and do anything! The headache moves around my head as well, I feel the pain shift across my head from the back(tension) to the temple(migraine), and around to the other temple, or back. My regular Dr. had a good idea that it could be sinus, by the way it moves, so we got me an appointment with the best ENT here, Nada, She couldn't find much wrong, a couple of allergies, but no real use. When it is intense the only thing that seems to help is a Triptan based medication, called Zomig. but now the Zomig leaves the body aching edited for tence I had.. note the tense... *Had* cronic and severe mirganes for years. It was Horrific. My Dr's put me on Topamax. You have to start out on a low dose ( like 25 mg) and work your way up.. there are some side effects that will go away in time.. like tingling in your hands and feet. That takes some getting used to. ~and you *have to* take the med every day around the same time to make it work effectively. But my Good Gods does it work. I was on clinical trials for every blessed thing hoping to find something. I was willing to be a guinea pig to find something.. anything to help with the pain. This simply worked. I stupidly quit it once to try something else... never again. I hope this helps you. Gwyn
