Congrats to the new Mommies, new lovers, and to all the other wonderful things going on. To those that are going through rough and/or trying times, as I read your posts I said a prayer for you all. I have great news... I will, in all probability be collaring my dear one before summer. I allowed him to spend several weeks with me 24/7 to see if the connection was truly there enough to take this step (one I don't take lightly). My wishes have been more than granted! The job is still going well no problems to report there. So far so good the past few months. Though it's only April, I feel this year is rushing along quite fast. Ms. Faye

I'm a new domme and am having a cow. Well, actually it's more of a calf now. Yep, I'm definitely at defcon-calf. I attended Kinkfest in Portland last weekend with my boy, and we hashed out a lot of stuff there. It was my first time presenting as a domme at an event -- eep -- and I think I did pretty well even if I didn't keep some of our previous plans in mind. We now both have enough experience under our belts that we can probably help to make the next event more comfortable in general. But what also came out of Kinkfest is that in answer to my confusion as to what our dynamic actually is, we're working out a contract. Well, I am -- I've brainstormed the basic outline and he'll be adding his suggestions to it. I'm currently trying to flesh what I have already out from notes into a first draft. aaiiieee. This isn't a document of promises and won't involve a collar -- it's mainly a snapshot of our relationship as is. Still, I've never done this before. Hence the calf. moo. boy has also petitioned to bear my mark, though I didn't realize until April Fool's Day that I even had one. A doodle that I've been casually drawing and pondering over for eleven years finally answered the question of "What are you?" with "Your mark, doofus." The mark isn't going to be a substitute for a collar -- which both boy and my primary look at as the equivalent of a wedding ring -- as much as a combination warrior mark, rite of passage and statement of submission on his part. I'm doing some sanity checks on how fast some of this seems to be going, but it feels right and I think that even if we crashed and burned six months after he got my mark put on him that I could live comfortably with the knowledge that it exists on someone's flesh simply because it's wanted. That's what's mainly taking up my brain nowadays, but there's other stuff too. Last month I completed my Copyediting class. I'm looking at going to my first International Ms Leather conference next month and my first Into the Woods campout in June. eeep.
