           Had to go with Dr. Lecter, from the choices offered.  Honestly though, Gary Oldman's character in The Professional might be my favorite bad guy.

Cool thread, Level :-) .

I voted HAL: all the others are neurotics suffering some kind of childhood trauma, so their "evility" isn't truly their fault. I mean, poor Norman! And don't you feel sorry for Darth, at the end of Return of the Jedi? As for Alex Forrest, I identify with her on too many levels (not least, her hair, but there's more as well - more information available on an individual basis).

But why no Emperor Palpatine, that satanic pain slut?
