ORIGINAL: domiguy Why do so many women not list their weight on their profiles? I'll give you some reasons. I'm not saying which one mine is. - Because their weight is used by ignorant, usually male, humans as an arbitrary means of discard.
- Because people who want to know how much they weigh aren't looking for friends/partners/loves/mates, they're looking for trophy subs.
- Because their weight is not a stable signficant number, unlike height.
- Because their photos show clearly what shape they are, and anyone dumb enough to judge them based on a number instead of appearance is no one they want to talk to, let alone more.
- Because there is a multi-BILLION dollar-per-year industry in the U.S. alone dedicated to teaching women *in particular* (they're expanding to men, you'll notice) that "you are not OK the way you are."
- Because one woman who is 5'9" and 200 pounds may be seriously obese, and the next one with the same stats is a buffed-out tennis champion.
- Because some individuals here make snap judgements simply because that datum is omitted. Which, fortunately, self-selects out those humans not compatible, as a general rule.
You get to pick. Delilah Deb
