OK....just what "is" ... "the" D/s dynamic? If you're going to put this sort of critique out there....you need to be able to articulate exactly where what you describe falls short...of? .....

Your post sounds curiously like an "ad" for yourself....throwing out to the women of this place, a description of a man who is "phony"...playing on people's fears and then by implication (your pointing out these horrid pseudo-Doms)...putting yourself out there as a guy who "understands" what "women" are up against...thereby making yourself a viable "alternative".

Yes, there are abusive guys out there masquerading as "doms".....as there are "subs" who are anything but, "women" profiles who are really gay men trolling for other men, people misrepresenting height, weight, appearance, experience, etc...both male AND female...yes there are men who prey on women with weak self-esteem levels.....as there are in bars all over the country on weekend nights, or posting profiles on match.com, etc.

If you think yourself to be above the lot...why couch that in a post about everyone else....step up and say what YOU stand for....how YOU view the "D/s dynamic"...what YOU can offer someone. Your post is a lot like someone driving along and seeing a sign across the road that clearly says "ROAD FLOODED - ROAD CLOSED" ....you get out of your car, take up a flashlight and adorned in a rain slicker, you stop every car and (backlit by the flashing yellow lights on the huge sign) you tell them to go back, the road is closed. What a caring, concerned guy....they think.....out there saving lives, taking care of everyone.....

What has me curious is why anyone claiming to be a dom would use the name Othello. Using the name of a character who spends the entire play being manipulated doesn't sound very "dominant" to me. :-)
