No, I think it has something to do with buying and renting out residential real estate, and paying attention to my investments, and having a strong desire to maintain my state of retirement, which I began at around the age of 40.

This August it will be 15 years since I have had to work for another or draw a paycheck. You go ahead and make all the remarks about grass that you want. I am supremely indifferent.

Why don't you think draught dodger Bush deserves as much vitriol, especially now when he's proved very good at sending other young men to fight and die for their country, something he was too chicken to do himself.

At least Jane Fonda put herself in the firing line.

        Funny how President Bush's service in the National Guard is draft-dodging, but Bill Clinton's avoidance of any service at all is given a pass.

       And the only 'firing line' Ms. Fonda put herself in was for the spit of those who served in that war.  Credit where it is due; when a nice loogie splatters on her face, the despicable bitch leaves the lawyers out of it.  Or maybe they have just explained to her that no middle-America jury would ever convict.

Status: offline 		Everyone has the right to support the candidate they choose.   I just do not understand how Fonda did not face charges of treason for what she did in the Vietnam War.
Obama cannot help who supports him. 
This is the liberal left wing that is jumping Hilary's ship. 
Too bad sone poor Vietnam veteran's family member did not get this woman. They could have sued her for wrongful death and hardship that was caused as a direct result of her stupidity.

When she shook each POW's hand, and they placed their social security number in it, she spat in their face, and asked them "How does it feel to be a Baby Killer.?"
She then turned around and handed the social security numbers back to the enemy which resulted in severe beatings and death for those poor men.
Now, did you say something about a draft dodger?

As for "Hanoi Jane" placing herself in the line of fire she was filmed sitting on a "primary target".  Me...I would not even stand next to an officer let alone a crew served weapon.

I'd rather believe  my hair  is genuine.

Just to add: there was virtual world wide opposition to the antics of Nixon and his crew in Vietnam. Very very violent demos. took place almost every where.
Eventually such public indignation was expressed in the US as well.
Did not Nixon blatently lie about bombing Cambodia. ?

Yup he is a draft dodger...he was able to get in the ANG at a time when even jesus christ could not have gotten a billet there.  Then he couldn't even be bothered to fulfill his commitment there.

Status: offline 		It is true.  Google it.  It is the worse case of treason I have have heard of.   I used to be into Jane Fonda and her work outs, but when I found out the entire story of what went down that day, I was sick.
Now, it is up to folks in general to keep that story alive so that we do not forget.  That is my reason behind posting it.

You are avoiding the issue. Bush is very good at sending other people to die for their country, something he avoided. I don't think being on the front line in Texas is the same as being on the front line in Iraq.

The fact was that the US was in Vietnam in what the British Prime Minister at the time called at the time, a colonial war. I am sure you saw the images of the war yourself, innocent civilians were getting slaughtered. I have heard many stories of what Fonda was supposed to have done but never seen any evidence of what she actually did.

I notice you haven't mentioned Bush's valiant service on the front line in a bar in Texas and his own unwillingness to fight but his eagerness to send other young men to die for his political career.

Status: offline 		 I served in the 80s with men who served 3 terms of duty during the Vietnam war.  Their word to me beats anything you can possibly dream up.

The criteria are pretty clear for all of his medals and he fails to meet them.
His first purple heart was for injuries suffered in the fire on the Forestall which was an accident and not enemy action.
His second purple heart was for the broken bones he got from his ejection seat...which could only occur from failure to follow ejection procedure.
All of his "gallant hero" medals fail for lack of validation.
It sure helps if your daddy and granddaddy are admirals.

You did notice in the "Snoops" cite that the very people whom you claim were injured by "Hanoi Jane" have repudiated your contention.  They clearly say it did not happen.
