Sorry to OP, the reason that responses are like that is because TFTB is such a contended term, only the Dominant can answer himself how he would deal with it and what his definition of it is.

It seems to me the relationship needs some "fine tuning." Because ya know, you can tune a submissive, but you can't tuna fish...

Status: offline 		What do you mean by tftb? Because if I ask him for something, we don't consider that to be me wrestling control away from him. It's just info as to what I want.

However if you negotiate a flogging and then decide not to do it, her insisting you keep your word isn't tftb, it's giving you one last chance to prove yourself trustworthy.

In general I can ask for anything and he can always say "Nope". If you're unable to say no, that isn't her fault, it's yours.

I would first explain to her what she's doing and punish to make my point.

I would also instruct her to do some soul searching. Some believe themselves to be submissive yet try to maintain control of the scene and have a hard time letting go.

Maybe they're simply having trouble letting go and maybe they're simply wired this way.

If the problem continues, I would show her the door. I am always open and communicative but I have little patience for topping from the bottom.

I do think you need to define tftb for us. It means something differently to everyone.
