Aubre -> Hillary - when did it all fall apart? (4/4/2008 5:55:08 AM)

So when do you think it was really the beginning of the end for her?

I have to say it was when Bill Richardson endorsed Obama. The reaction of the Clinton team was so paranoid and vicious (Carville comparing Richardson to Judas for example) that I think it really turned people off.

I think Richardson will be the running mate - he has a lot of moderate appeal.

When she dissed Tammy Wynette.

During the blowjob.  I don't think she ever really had a chance.

Sanity -> RE: Hillary - when did it all fall apart? (4/4/2008 9:24:08 AM)

When she called the blowjob "a vast right wing conspiracy".

farglebargle -> RE: Hillary - when did it all fall apart? (4/4/2008 2:59:12 PM)

Oh, please.... The notion that she *ever* really intended to leave the Senate seat from New York she fucking stole is laughable.

She can get *more* graft in the Senate than as President. That's why McCain is going to retire to the White House for 4 years, continue GE and Westinghaus' War Profits, and make sure Business As Usual Continues...

When she said she was standing.

A character of that type you are either going to hate or like. It also helps if you don't make up news stories about facing hostile fire in Bosnia. You have to ask yourself whether she is the person you want telling you the situation your country is in; if her mind makes up stuff unintentionally or otherwise.

I think this needs re-examining.

-Assassination talk didn't help
-The "Obama Muslim" photo from Somalia - everyone knew who was responsible

there was yet another major feaux pax but I don't remember atm.

When the 'experts' started announcing that Obama had no chance of beating her, and explaining why.

Irishknight -> RE: Hillary - when did it all fall apart? (6/5/2008 8:44:54 AM)

I'm not sure where it fell apart.  I'm just glad that it did.

Domin8tingUrDrmz -> RE: Hillary - when did it all fall apart? (6/5/2008 8:45:17 AM)

Aside from her sense of entitlement, I think one of the big faux pas' was near the end of the trail;when she started pandering to anyone who would listen by suggesting she had the ability to reduce the prices of gasoline for the summer, with no real plan for the long haul.

Aubre -> RE: Hillary - when did it all fall apart? (6/5/2008 8:48:40 AM)

That's true, I think a lot of people got a sense from her that this was some kind of "birthright" for her, and the whole reducing gas prices thing was shameless pandering.

kittinSol -> RE: Hillary - when did it all fall apart? (6/5/2008 8:48:51 AM)

She started off convinced she was going to get this nomination, and she spent her campaign funds too fast. Unforgiving strategic mistakes.

Aubre -> RE: Hillary - when did it all fall apart? (6/5/2008 8:51:47 AM)

I agree she did spend her money way too fast, and I also agree she didn't figure the fight would be this long.

Obama has shown how you survive a long primary campaign and still have money for the general election. He did a lot of it by leveraging the Internet.

Irishknight -> RE: Hillary - when did it all fall apart? (6/5/2008 8:53:00 AM)

Or maybe it was when she was no longer able to pretend to be someone she wasn't.  Thats when the assassination comment, the attempts to destroy Obama's image and the fake sniper fire story came out.

kdsub -> RE: Hillary - when did it all fall apart? (6/5/2008 9:06:15 AM)

I think people believed Obama was speaking from his heart...and Clinton was speaking from what would  get her elected.
He sounded sincere she sounded like a  pandering politician.

When Bill started stump speaching and the press got him talking without it being from prepared talking points.

Nosathro -> RE: Hillary - when did it all fall apart? (6/5/2008 9:48:49 AM)

I really do not think Hillary has ended her attempt at the Presidentcy.  She really does think she is entitled to be it, at least that is my thinking.  She is not ended her bid just suspended it meaning she still can collect campaign funds and hold on to her delagets.  She got a few more tricks up her sleeve.

As to where she lost it, well Bill did not help.  She was not giving answers to questions and she continued to over play her importance in major issues.  These really did her in.

philosophy -> RE: Hillary - when did it all fall apart? (6/5/2008 9:51:49 AM)

...purely out of curiosity, is there any precedent for Hilary's refusing to concede at this stage in the game? Has anybody ever come back from such a situation?

Asherdelampyr -> RE: Hillary - when did it all fall apart? (6/5/2008 9:54:19 AM)

As far as I know, there isnt... Honestly I think she is waiting to see if Obama gets shot or something...

In my not so humble opinion, it fell apart for Hillary when she tried to be too much, to way to many.... and before then, when she assisted tippur gore in trying to fuck over the video game industry

Archer -> RE: Hillary - when did it all fall apart? (6/5/2008 10:24:15 AM)

Most of the pundents on both sides of he fence are saying she's angleing for something in return for her support.
Not hard to believe for any politician. The differences are mostly in what they think she's angleing for.
VP? Cabinet Post? Senate Leadership possition?  Shift in Barack's platform a little bit more her way?
