what's July 19th?? (should I dress??)

[sm=threadhijack.gif]  *chuckles* Sorry guys..

It is an SCA Day tripping event in St. Petersburg.. at my church St. Pete UU in Down Town.

Wear your Ren Fair garb... it is classes all day on textile stuff. ( it is called Res Textila ) and I am the Feast Crat.
I am cooking an Andalusian Feast.
Bread, with herbed butter, a summer salad, gazpacho, apricot chicken, rice pilaf, lamb caldero, roasted root vegtables, and Tarta de Santiago for desert.

Any one who is local or who will be in town is welcome to come of course.

Watch me slave away in the kitchen.

Gwyn

i'm petrified of spiders and had a dom use one on me once in the most cruel way...i'm not into sadists and wasn't into him much after that but my fear of spiders is about 10 times worse than what it was and is now a hard limit of mine.

Geez, christine...anti-gators, turtles and now spiders ? I thought you loved nature. Where in hell do you go to camp ? Or is that you I sometimes hear screaming in the distance in the wilderness ? [image]http://www.collarchat.com/upfiles/smiley/runaway.gif[/image]

Seconding!  I don't know that I've got any of my garb left from when I was still a Rennie, but I'm sure I can whip something up and try to make it over there!

I'll be the one trying to hide from the big groups of people.  [8|]

for those of you unaware of palmetto bugs.. imagine the largest cockroach you have ever seen.. now imagine it walking into and out of a Nuclear reactor... taking steriods... and god being twisted enough to give them wings durring part of the year.. when you least expect it. They have Zero and I mean Zero fear of human beings.. or lights. They will fly at you... Hell they will hand you your coffee mug in the morning if you are on talking terms with them.

Ah yes, The notorious palmetto bug. A magnificent critter.

I have a male friend who lives in the Midwest. He developed an annoying habit of calling me at 2/3 a.m., drunk, in a bar, and telling me a joke that he just couldn't wait to share with me. After the first few times, I found this behavior less than amusing and asked him to quit, but, of course, he wouldn't. Sooooo, I found the biggest, nastiest palmetto bug I could in a mulch pile in my yard. Blech. I put him in a match box ( yanno, the stick kind, but slid the box into the cover upside down. I put some moist lettuce in with him to make sure he had food/water for the trip, marked it "fragile, this side up", and away he went FedEx to Minneapolis. My buddy called me, still screaming and freaking out, afraid that the big boy was still hiding in his clothes since he couldn't find him anywhere. *Evil Grin* The poor lad hasn't been the same since, but the midnite phone calls stopped. Ahhhh...peace.

Well the classes tend to be small, and you can C-mail me about reg'ing for the event and feast ok? I know we will be listed in Talewinds here shortly. It is much cheaper to pre reg.

Me too! The whole thread mirrors some ideas a certain two young ladies and I were discussing just the other day......

boytoy4female -> RE: bug torture (4/9/2008 10:43:14 AM)

Off the bug track....I had a co-worker who was paranoid of snakes, lizzards, etc. He was a royal pain in my arse, as he acted like a spoiled child and was always inconsiderate. On his last day of work, I slid a 4foot alligator (alive and kicking) into the bed of his truck, under his Tonneau cover. From what I understand, he pissed his pants when he opened the tailgate, at home. Rumor is that he no longer is scared of the little serpents...

GreedyTop -> RE: bug torture (4/9/2008 10:45:00 AM)

where did you get the gator?

boytoy4female -> RE: bug torture (4/9/2008 10:48:57 AM)

I got it out of the canal behind the office. Took all of my lunch break to catch him. Why? Ya want one?

Giving 2 baby gators to Gwyn, so she can make an alligator purse at the res testilia ...I meant textilia

OnlyMels -> RE: bug torture (4/9/2008 2:04:03 PM)

Probably wouldn't go over well with me. Older neighbor kids used to torture me by putting dead leaves down my shirt saying they were dead bugs.. Evil stupid kids.
