Yummy, goooood Termy bait. (ready?) It isn't racism at all, it's looks, which in that case boils it down to skin color. But that is only part of it. Fact of the matter is many people are racist, but they are either a certain innocuous form of racist or they are hiding it very well. I think a more proper term for that certain form would be nationalist rather than racist, to appease the PC crowd, but it doesn't work. Using the nationalist does not fit, I was born in the US, in the true sense of the word nationalist I should only concern myself with the culture in the US. But I do not. I am engulfed in it, but I do want to explore the origins of my ancestors. I want to know what side of town my Greatgrandfather came from in the old country. I want my Greatgrandmother's cookbooks. That is not to exclude all interest in anyone else's heritage. I believe that as we get older we tend to get a bit more curious about world history, and the two go hand in hand. That is why I enjoy talking to old people. They can tell you things that you would never know, things you will never glean from the internet, or anywhere else for that matter. And talk about a racist somewhere in the middle, these old people had all kinds of standards, not to live in society by according to race, but in personal choices. A Polish lass would have big trouble with her Father if she intended to marry a Ukrainian. In the tribes of Native America, if they had a problem with each other intermarrying would be frowned upon, and probably forbidden. I suspect that for a long time such segragational tendencies were present in many many different "races". And now that word is becoming hard to define. Now at that gathering they needed more white skinned people. There are white skinned Africans, I personally knew a Woman who is Mexican, full blooded, with white skin, blonde hair and blue eyes. Surely you have seen Asians that simply do not look it. While they might not quite look English, they certainly do not look Asian. Enough on that for now, this is basically a photo op. Looks are everything. Be nice if you could get a really high resolution image and zoom in, look all around for a hippie with a huge orange afro. Look for someone with a long beard. Look for some ugly people. They will be hard to find. In fact, look for fat people. Oh yes, there will be a few, but not many. So it's a photo op where they take a picture sixty times per second. They pay attention to each one of those millions of pictures as much as any high priced photographer would pay attention to a portrait shot for an important client. It is their business, it is what they do for a living. Basically, image is everything. There is no substance. Whether they are racist or not is never going to be shown. T
