Called himself a gentleman? What a hoot. The first thing I assumed when I read "Its been over 5 years and still I havent found one mistress willing to accept me for who I am." was that either he couldn't have been trying very hard or that he is generally unacceptable. This response to you indicates that both are true.

Here are more hints of trouble:
'accept me for who I am'
'gain their trust'

are in not phrases uttered by a good sub. I smell a smart-ass bottom/switch!

'gain their trust' is particularly 'Silence of the Lambchops'.

Hi cheffy.

It helps to look within yourself for the answer why you haven't found a Mistress. you said you want to be accepted for who you are. If that's why you haven't found a Mistress then you'll need to be more detailed to us or to yourself and her about what exactly she needs to be accepting about. There's lots of Mistresses out there and you've been looking for 5 years and still no luck. What could the reasons be?

As I was reading through the posts, I thought Dnomyar hit it on the head - posting to this forum as a lazy attempt to let all the Mistresses know that he had been looking for so long...longing to serve. To show disrespect, by criticizing the advice that you gave him...and cowardly at that - doing it personally rather than on the board as a reply to your post...yes, obvious why he can't find a Mistress. If anything, he should have thanked you for taking the time to even bother with an answer. Thank you Pyrrsefanie for sharing and keeping any new Dommes from possibly falling into this little trap.

I wondered what the attitude was, since that was the most likely reason for a failure to find anyone, even for a trial, over a 5 year period. I am glad we got the opportunity to get a first hand view of said attitude.
I also note that the OP hasn't been back to his thread. hmmmmmmmmm....

Same here. I normally don't do such things (and actually was kind of nervous about doing so), but I figured that due to the nature of the thread + his response it might be an important piece of information.

You've had a number of solid, relevant, and potentially productive suggestions in this thread.

Akasha pointed out that spelling & grammar count for many of us (me included). In your posting above you have two missing apostrophes and a missing space. Collarchat checks spelling automatically even on my antiquated computer. Two of the three errors I refer to are highlighted in your quote as I compose this message.

Choices you can make:

Know thyself. What is it that you want? Be honest with yourself before you try to shoehorn someone else into the "Mistress of my dreams" suit.
Improve your presentation. Stephann, Akasha, and others have pointed the way.
Communicate rudely to individuals responding to your post. Seems a great way to hit a whole lot of Ignore buttons.
