Some of the age threads of late have made me wonder, Am i a true (twue for those who go there) sub. some history: i have been in a relationship with a female who: 1. did not want to have sexual relations with me. And She had a great deal of control/say as to how i relieved that situation. 2. who wished me to be extraordinarily attentive to Her needs, desires and complaints, and who counted on me to use my best discretion to resolve those issues. 3. Who seemed to enjoy my presence, but occasionally would ignore me if She was not pleased with the world in general, or my speed at meeting Her needs, requests, desires. 4. She counted on me to bring Her food and Serve it to Her. 5. She allowed me to bathe and dress Her. 6. She allowed me to (and expected me to) clean up after Her, do Her laundry, occasionally allowed me to brush Her hair. 7. She allowed me to handle Her finances and, if we went shopping together, She would let me know what She wanted or needed, and rightfully expected me to pay Her way. (Yes, She would complain bitterly if i told Her that She was being a bit unreasonable) 8. She had my undying devotion and unconditional love. Does this make me a true (twue) sub, and/or does this make Her a True (Twue) Domme. Be careful how Y/you answer, there is a bit of a trick here.

A relationship is whatever you label it at the end of the day, doing a list of things doesnt make you anything, its what name you personally attach to it. (is it a pet btw of the animal variaty)

You've listed how your relationship functioned. The only person it's 'true' to, is you. If you weren't happy in the relationship, hopefully you've learned not to repeat it. If you were satisfied and happy with it, you now know what sort of relationship you desire. Why you care what we think, is beyond me. Stephan

Going on the idea that...in this instance only...that the idea of "true sub" is O.K., then all anyone can offer you is their view of what a "true sub" is. What a "true submissive" is to me is going to differ from what it is to others...and here is where it gets even trickier: just because a submissive is not a "true submissive" for me, that does not make her an "un-true submissive", it only makes her NOT the "true submissive" for me. How's that for tricky?

Sub? Maybe. Slave? Maybe. But from what you described, leaving out the bathing and some of the finances part, sounds like a typical woman's role in just about any relationship to me. IMOO of course.
