ORIGINAL: seeksfemslave My definitions A PC Liberal: the world owes me a living and everybody is as deserving as I know I am. Not only that , I know that to right the wrongs that exist in this world its my duty to spend other people's money. A Conservative: this is a tough old world, I must do my best to provide for myself and my immediate family because there is no reason to believe anyone else should. Ha ha, Yer so cute when you are out picking cherries in those glasses, Seeks!Let me give that a try. Personable Compasionate Liberals - Let's share the gain and the pain, after all that's how we achieved the great heights in civilisation, by pooling our knowledge and cooperating on projects impossible for an individual to even contemplate. If we look out for each other as well as ourselves we can all enjoy a longer, more fulfilling life. A****** Conservative - Thanks to all those liberal ideals I can thump my chest and pretend to be a rugged individualist even though I am completely reliant on the products of a cooperative, compassionate society. I can safely rail against the liberal machine from my perch atop the shoulders of giants, safe in the secret knowledge that if I fall, my forgiving liberal siblings will catch me and put me back on my feet.Your With Rugged Compassion, Z. Z I actually like you because I love to see an intelligent type like yourself demonstrate that Liberals can be so totally and utterly wrong.I think you must be a Brit. The gains that we benefit from today were not achieved by collective enterprise but by individual achievement. The inspired, the creative, the genius verging on the madman. Thems (sic) what did it. When the collective gets control we steer steadfastly towards the shores of mediocrity and banal mindless egalitarianism or non judgemental PC Liberalism. I agree we owe much to the past. I agree that a compassionate society will offer support to the underprivileged and unfairly stricken such as those suffering from a debilitating disease or living in an area where traditional industry has collapsed. I reject totally the idea that the lazy, the useless, the gormless, the scroungers across the whole social spectrum are in anyway deserving of support and if we carry on as we are they will drag everybody down to their natural level of inadequate hopelessness. I know if you think about it you will agree I am right.
