The most brilliant post on the thread. Colour is a question of perception.

(Or hue).

Would you settle for a hissy-fit?

[sm=tantrum.gif]

Hissy-fit, and icon, is good.  Hugs.

*sigh*  Why does all this talk of  'personal preference' make me want to go dye my hair?

GreedyTop -> RE: Preference of color (4/13/2008 7:15:52 AM)

Bright red is good!  (To bad Garnier discontinued my favorite color - Mango.)

I prefer teal, but I am flexible in the matter.

Oh wait; not teal, anything but teal.... please.

Now think about it, imagine the feeling of mastery if a woad dyed master puts on his best Celtic loincloth and comes at you with a yell and a club...that would surely raise some endorphins?

People all have their fetishes....

Leatherist -> RE: Preference of color (4/13/2008 7:30:45 AM)

The red and white zebra scheme sort of turns me on.

Sounds like an old 'Role Playing' game the hubby and I used to enjoy that involved his Minotaur costume and a big flat rock.  MOO!

Oh - sorry, is that bestiality?

lronitulstahp -> RE: Preference of color (4/13/2008 7:43:26 AM)

well i have been red...i'm red in my profile pic...but recently people have been saying i should try blond.  Maybe i'll do it, just to detract the attention from these streaks that You seem to hate...i'm sure me as a blond will be more disastrous than ANYTHING You could have done!

Aynne -> RE: Preference of color (4/13/2008 7:45:54 AM)

Raechard,

Hello. Actually the saying is airing your dirty laundry in public, so the little emoticon is accurate.  And cute as hell ;)

I, like others, have been wondering about the meaning of these emoticons and I think this one means 'drying your laundry in public' The saying is though 'washing your dirty laundry in public' so I'm confused as to what they were thinking when they made it. If anyone wants to know what each emoticon means just ask me because I've been giving them some thought sadly.[:D]

--Sorry you can all continue with your debate now.--

Hell Adrian,

I'll play switch for that. He needs a little re-education.  [8|] I am always game to help someone learn.......smacks paddles against thigh high leather boots and grins....[:D]

Well, "brother", apparently ignorance isn't bias. Perhaps what you need is a female Dom to teach you a little humility. I'm sure some of the ladies here wouldn't mind helping you on your path of learning and understanding.[>:]

I was playing Br'er Rabbit.

Interesting mental imagery though. [8|].... [:D]

Now, what shall I wear?

admitting  that I didn't read through all the posts and so apologies  if this has already been mentioned>

OP
If you are, obviously, so adamant about wanting to be with someone who does NOT have issues with a persons color ( etc )  ...and this woman you are talking about and had pursued, obviously DOES.....then why are you in pursuit?
I would think she wouldn't interest YOU...let alone the fact that you are bothered that you do not interest her...

she's not YOUR type..
why waste energy on this?

Personally, I appreciate it when someone shows me this side ( intolerance or bigotry) of themselves upfront...that way I know to change my direction.  ( and I am not convinced she IS racist or a bigot...not everyone who knows what they like and has attraction perferences is yanno?  smiles ) .

Plowing through them hoping to change their personal likes and dislikes is energy ill spent  imo..

If you spend your energy disciplining the world to conform to your personal values and ethics > you will have little left for the one who is out there waiting and wanting your energy and discipline and shares your likes and dislikes .
