I don't think Obama's comments about out of work "working" class Americans was at all out of line. His comments have been, as usual, taken out of context and distorted. All he said was that working class Americans who have been un and/or are under-employed are frustrated and, in their frustration, have been, in some cases, manipulated and distracted from economic issues which directly effect them , by cynical politicians to be overly concerned about knee-jerk issues like gay marriage, etc. Is that not the case ? In fact, I admire Obama for being less concerned about being politically correct than by being candid on issues and to consticuencies who are directly effected by the issues he tries to address. Of, course, this makes him vulnerable to being quoted out of context and attacked by less scrupulous opponents.
