I see your point bear.  However, I don't see that one voice up on Capital Hill (and I live here, I would know), or circling a petition, or writing to their congressmen, or trying to change the stigma kink carries with most people.  I don't think that this message board filled with lots of people who obviously don't have a problem with the TOS is a good avenue to take frustrations about the TOS, or government in general, and attacking a non-guilty party is never appropriate, and immature.

I  want to see some follow through, and some planning.  Bitching about apartheid certainly did not fix the problem.  It is not the voice that wins the battle; but the actions of that voice.

Does that make sense?

He's yelling at whoever approves the pictures, and they don't have any more say in what's legal than we do, haha.

Do I think the laws need to be reworked? Yes, and I think that might actually happen at some point, as a side effect of BDSM becoming a little more mainstream than it was 10 years ago.

*Edited to add:  The OP is also failing miserably at reading the replies to his rants.*

Some of these people here have a hell of a lot more experience in kinky pixxors, and the legality surrounding them. You should probably listen to them.

Status: offline 		Wolf, I'm not understanding your position on this.  Help me see how it makes sense.  Let's say I have a party, and there is no admission fee.  You come to my party and you want to stick needles in somebody.  I say "no, I won't let you do that at my party."  You start screaming about your rights to stick needles in somebody.  Have you forgotten the fact that this is my party? Go somewhere else if you don't like my party, just do us all a favor and don't continue to suffer under the delusion that yelling at me about your rights and what my party is supposed to be is going to get you anywhere.

So Joe Schmoe starts a site and he calls it a BDSM site.  He has decided that he will not allow gags or extreme bondage. That is his right, he doesn't even have to tell you WHY he does not allow it, although thru the grapevine here people have extended you the courtesy of trying to explain those reasons.  And now you're trying to argue with those reasons, when in fact, Joe Schmoe doesn't have to have a reason at all.  Heck, he could say "no pictures of people wearing blue shoes" and that would be his right too.

Status: offline 		And who funds this legal battle?   The "proceeds" from a free to use website will certainly not provide for it.  You don't get to volunteer other people to pay for the legal battle that you yourself are not capable of funding.

Ability and know-how are things that you can acquire, if indeed you are motivated to do so.   Are you motivated enough?   Are you willing to do more than, in your own words, "just fucking sit there" and complain bitterly about something you have not paid for being something you did not want?

Screeching about others not being willing to do what you yourself are not willing to do will never score you points in an arguement.

You know... something just occured to me...

There are lots of ways of furthering any particular cause. And your way, OP, is not the only way. CM provides a place for people to get together and talk. It lets people who are completely out share their stories with people who aren't ready yet and it gives hope and resources for those who would like to be completely out. In doing this, CM helps people live more open lives, which allows for more "vanilla" people to realize that their children, parents, best friends, teachers, employees, bosses, etc are kinky, happy and are still the wonderful people that they always were.

CM is definately helping in a quiet but effective way. If you want something with more fireworks, invest the money, time and energy and learn how to make your own site. Organize real time events and make an effort to reach out to the community. Write a book. But don't pass the buck.
