ORIGINAL: LaTigresse quote:
ORIGINAL: Level What makes you happy? If you aren't happy, what do you think would help? Happy I am not sure of. I kinda like using the word "joy" more. I believe in living with joy. Accepting all aspects of life, even those less than pleasant, with joy in it's completeness and balance. Embracing all of it. So even though I suppose there are certainly moments that are happier than others I find a certain amount of joy in embracing all of it. I think LaT nailed it here, as far as I'm concerned. Happiness seems to be conditional and, therefore comes and goes. Joy, on the other hand, seems to arise from the attitude with which one lives, despite conditions. And joy seems to be a more quiet, though more constant , state of mind than happiness do. It doesn't come from "pursuing it" and doesn't go "poof" when conditions change.
