Status: offline 		Do we all know what a BBW is? It means big beautiful woman. I'm one and so is roughly 85% of the women in these United States. So one would think that it should not come across as uncomon to see a few on this sight, But acording to some messages myself and others have received, We are the outsiders, and are ridiculed and sent hateful messages for no other reason than our size. I have been sent adds and links for weight loss centers,diet pills and surgical procedures. I've had Messages with the words "Aren;t you a bit chubby to be a switch?" WTF is that supposed to mean? Is there a weight limit? I don't even have any pictures of myself up. God help the women of substance that do!
   I do not begrudge anyone thier preferance in potetial play partners. But if you find that someone on this sight does not meet with your particular ideal, and you are not willing to look past the physical into potential, don't message them. Seriously! Do not type how They are not your type. Do not take the time to tell them how much of your time they are not worth. You don't know them.  Why would someone you don't know, that has never given you grief, deserve harassment?

   Remember, most people think that because of our interests, we are ALL outsiders. Do not make others the outsiders of the outsiders because you feel you must make someone else feel low to raise you up.

   I am a BBW. Want a twig? Climb a tree and snap one off.  There are plenty of others that find me Lovely.

Status: offline 		I am working on re wording it for my journal. But. I wanted to get feed back from others. (I most likely should have put that in the original post). So, PS.

I would like to know if any have a solution to the problem or have any comments or advice to give? Even if that Advice is "Grow a thicker skin, Alice!"

As you can see by my photos, I am a big woman. Beautiful? I am not quite that sure, but my submissive loves me and that is what matters most. But I have to say, that I don't receive emails such as you have described. Actually quite the opposite. I get a lot of emails from all predilections who tell me that they love my smile, my eyes, my hair, ect...I usually send them a thank you note back and they don't normally email back. My profile says that I am not looking, most accept that and don't email me. Some will email me from this side saying they like what I have written, or I will get email from this side complimenting me about my pup. I suppose the point is, if I put it in my profile or journal that I am a bbw, (I hate that term btw) when it is obvious from my description and photos that I am indeed over weight, that is the same as pointing it out to people, and people will reply about my weight.

Your journal sets the tone of how people will treat you. You practically invite them to discuss your weight with you, as that is what pops up first from your journal.

Oh and as far as being an outsider? I have never felt that feeling at all. I am who I am. I love who I am, and I accept that I will never look like Jennifer Aniston.

Noone but the thing is wouldnt matter what you looked like you would get it anyways, I have got some really horrible messages myself about the oddest things.

Have you recently deleted your photo? becuase I dont know why you would get the messgaes without one

I ahve been called a twig before, although i never thought of myself in that manner.  If someone wants to find me i assure you they will NOT have to look to the nearest tree. And while i do bend, i have yet to snap.
What you have done to "twigs" is the same thing you are complaining about in your op.

Status: offline 		One should never post angry. Thank you all for the lesson. I was very upset by the serise of messages that I had recieved as well as those sent to some of my friends. But the comment at the end was un called for. I do deeply appologise for it. I meant no harm in any of my posting.

That said, Is it wrong for me to be angry about this? I am very glad that many of you have many wonderful reactions. However I know many others, apart from myself, that have gotten similar messages. I am wondering about how to rectify the behavior, or even if this is something that should just be ignored.

Self image and esteem in even the strongest can be shaken a bit on a bad day by that kind of thing. I am of the opinion that if you don't think you would like someone, don't contact them. Am I wrong in this?

As you say no one should post angry, maybe people who are sending your messages are sending them angry, so you have just taken a good shot at offending an entire forum, maybe you have made up for all the nasty people mailing you.

I find that randomers online cant affect me at all, sure self confidence and esteem can be hurt but why would you care about what people you dont know say about you? I get offended if people I know say something, if someone I talk to a lot says something but if it bothers you that much I would say maybe your confidence isnt what you think it is.

Of course you are not wrong. It takes a very nasty person to judge anyone else. If they do not like what they see in a profile then they need to move on. Comments such as the ones made to you are simply mean.
But...what can you do about it? I hate to say this, but you have to toughen up a little, hard as it is to do. If you think about it there is not too much else you CAN do. As long as you know you are an awesome woman then f*** those who feel the need to say otherwise. It is THEIR loss, Alice!!

I won't take the comment down as it shows how stupid someone can be in a rage.  The comment that spurred it was that I must have smaller women sprouting off of me like twigs, but still, not an excuse. Again, I am sorry for not thinking before I began to type.

Status: offline 		Frist of all to all of you BBW a big hug and a few gropes. Now that im looking at the term BBW I wounder how come there are no BBM listed here. Im 250 # No beer belly. I work out every day. The thing is that only men have told me that Im big not women. What's up with that. The thing with the men is that I can ask them if they have a problem with that and they back off real quick. A woman dose'nt have that option. I notice that the guys do treat BBW who have a big attitude with more respect. So mabey that is the answer to the problem. Grab the guy and kick his ass.

You are wrong in letting people you don't even know shake your self image and esteem.  It comes from within, and I would never give that power to someone I didn't know.  Block and delete.  No big deal.  Keep looking.  But don't be defensive about it - that is highly unattractive, imnsho.
