I think it sounds more like anonnymous group sex to me. Which, admittedly, doesn't address your emotional needs, but it does fulfill some people's fantasties and physical desires quite well.

Status: offline 		I had sex with someone once and I was blindfolded the entire time. I couldn't see anything and to this day I still don't know who he was. Was it hot? It had it's own appeal, and it's kinda fun to think that he may see me on the street sometime and he would know me but I would have no idea. It's not something I would want to do all the time but it was definetly fun at the time. And I don't believe you have to love someone to have sex with them, I think if you are in love with someone it makes the sex more meaningful though.

I've never been one to have sex with someone i don't know - well except one time and that was a disaster. Because we didn't know each other we wasted so much time trying to find out what the other one likes/dislikes that no "mood" was created. So there were no orgasms for phoenix that night, intensely frustrating.
 
That said, the idea of having no idea whatsoever who i'd be having sex with is an intense turn on. Not so much the person-dressed-in-a-furry-animal costume, but the pitch black room.
