I'm a non-practicing subish-type person with very little experience and I wear glasses. And like Thelma of Scooby Doo fame, I can't see anything without my glasses. But I'm wondering... When you play, do you remove your glasses? Do you work your inability to see into your activities? What about contacts? I could imagine a good swat on the swat-receiving end could send a pair of hard contacts flying. I'm thinking of a scenario where you don't have your hands availble to keep your specs on your nose.

The specs come off whenever...things get underway. Being nearsighted doesn't hinder things at all. And then there's the little blindfold to consider. Contacts usually come off as soon as I get home from work. Bad to fall asleep in them, which has been known to happen after things wind down a bit.

There's not a big problem taking them off during sex... For us, there are no glasses, no jewelry and no clothes during play. At times he may have us keep our shoes on, but even that is rare. Alandra wears glasses and I used to wear contacts. If we were playing at home, he preferred that I take them out before play so I didn't have to try and take them out after play. Alandra is not allowed to wear her glasses during play. I was legally blind without correction until about 5 months ago and it only prevented me from seeing hand signals, but it did not hinder play at all. Knight's Kyra

I rarely wear my glasses in public (they are strictly for right before I go to bed, and first thing in the morning until I am coordinated enough to get my contacts in). When I bottom, I leave my lenses (soft) in, unless there is going to be a blindfold involved. Then I take them out to avoid having to try and fish the lenses out from the top of my eyeballs..LOL

i'm not allowed to wear my glasses during play, because he wants to watch my eyes...my reactions to the things that he does to me is a very huge part of his pleasure......

Glasses come off during play. But I'm blindfolded mostly anyway. If you can't see that he's switched to a whip and you need to not move, all he needs to do is say "Don't move". If he wants you to see his face, he can just step in for a moment. Honestly this is not that big a problem. Plus the glasses and your hair in a bun and you can be a sexy librarian during a scene. Or a school teacher being punished by the principal. Or whatever.

I take my glasses off most of the time. It helps me focus mentally, even if things are just a tad fuzzier. DV's Fox

Glasses definatly come off during play :), For the most part I just need mine for reading and driving but I spend alot of time doing both and I have a habit of just leaving them on so I don't put them down and loose them. We are slowly working on retraining that,:) I try to remember to take them off more often when I don't need them since I do look nicer without them :). I wear contacts from time to time burt I would definatly want tthem out before I played, not just for the annoyance of trying to fish them out of my eyes afterwords but there is nothing quite as scene-stealing as the 'contact-search' when one pops out. I wear glasses too and they come off when we play, so they don't get smashed or broken.

I usually wear contacts, but I take them out when I get home from work. I don't want to try to get them out afterwards, and as someone else said, trying to get them out of the top of your eyeball is never fun.

If I'm wearing my glasses, they come off. I can't see much of anything but he tells me what he wants and where he wants me so it works. Usually I'm in contacts. They remain in during these times, however one time one of them came out and another time, a hard slap to the face had one ending up way behind an eyelid and we had to stop so I could fix it before it scratched my eyeball (my eye was watering non-stop and really hurting).

I take off my glasses during play, but generally if I'm wearing contacts, I leave them in.

My glasses are too bloody expensive to risk breaking, they come off. Besides, the disorientation is fun, and then the blindfold/hood fits properly. I disavow all knowledge of a photograph of me in a leather hood with my glasses perched on the outside...grins

Daddy and i both wear glasses. we're both nearsighted, so that means we have to get close to see each other without our glasses on.... so we both remove them. that part of the little rituals actually helps me get my motor goin', cause its like "oo! on the bed, no glasses, nakie, snuggles, kisses, woohoo! getting going now!" he likes me without glasses because he knows i hide myself behind them. kitten

I hate wearing glasses even to kiss and hug. We use blindfolds a lot during play also so loss of sight is something we incorporate into most of our scenes.
